RYOBI 1 Piece Steel Wall Mounted Hanging Cabinet is in stock for shipping at Direct Tool Outlet. $59.99 (after 25%) + $10 for shipping. Seems like a decent price if you need other items and it is in stock. Apparently these are or were hard to find for awhile.

https://www.directtoolsoutlet.com...t/p/STH401

Also in stock at home depot for $80 + free shipping but at the time of this post I only see 22 available for shipping
https://www.homedepot.com/p/RYOBI.../313895960

They will probably go quick. Good luck

I got the one without the front on it a few weeks ago from HD for 79. I love it. I would like it better if they had spaces for additional batteries because as of right now you can't fit the 3ah or larger with the stem facing upwards into the slots, and when you put the stem downwards, they fit but don't sit flat. You could put them on the shelves, but I filled the shelves up already, and they really only miss fitting by maybe 1/8" or so. The back also isn't sealed all the way around, and my garage walls are painted bright white so you can see through some of the seams in the back, no biggie though. It is strong and looks awesome. Also, I like the ryobi green.
HD has a video on how to make one. I added the parts required and they ended up being over $60. I'd be interested in a plan where the supplies come out to less than $30.
I'd prefer that one but it's not in stock near me at HD. It's also on sale at DTO but only for pick up so I didn't mention it. Here's a link if anyone near a store wants one https://www.directtoolsoutlet.com...g/p/STH402

I don't mind the green but I have all different flavors of tools so it will look off regardless what color it is

I would love a gladiator cabinet like this to match the rest of garage. Of course it would probably be 5 times the price.

This is nice. If you live in a humid area, I recommend not mounting in garage or exposed area unless you regularly oil the exposed metal surfaces for corrosion protection. I left my Ryobi drill in my garage for a few months and the chuck internals were rusted to the point where it became stuck.

Nice. Had two of these on order at Home Depot for $80 each. Requires a trip to pick up as well. Thanks for sharing

When I first read your comment, I thought the "horrible regime" you were referring to was Home Depot. Either way works, I guess.....

Would you rather have a Chinese brand with yet another product made in China proudly hanging in your garage or would you rather have something made yourself, with American wood (hot) and for a fraction of the price?

Making a wood version of this is probably no more than $20, something you made and no part of it is supporting a horrible regime. If anything you're supporting blue collar workers that could really use our support with a very green, renewable resource, lumber which went from an environmental disaster to now countries like Norway, Sweden and Canada showing studies that it's our best physical renewable we have so even if you are a tree hugger, you can appreciate making one yourself.

Vote with your wallet. No matter how you feel about the world around us, its some of the best advice out there.. vote with your wallet, put your money in areas you feel deserve that. Middle class America needs this money, not a Chinese genocidal regime.

If I had this, it would make life much easier getting tools, I even measured for the only spot this would fit in my organized, yet jammed garage. Then I read your comment, you are absolutely correct & I changed my mind on ordering. Thank you.

I went this route with my Porter Cable tools, as I already had wood shelving in the garage. I dont need 'locking' in my own garage. YMMV

Another alternative for hanging Ryobi ONE+ tools is to use the lanyard that snaps into the battery slot. They are also on sale at Direct Tools Outlet. One end snaps into the battery receptacle on the tool and the other has a dog leash style clip on it. Paired with, say, eye bolts on the underside of a shelf it also gets tools up and out of your way if you don't have a need for the cabinet portion of this, and are primarily interested in hanging storage. It's $5.99 for two of them right now.

Yeah, there is an entire cottage industry of 3D printed widgets for holding batteries and tools. Check out Etsy too. I have gotten green ones for my EGO batteries and teal for my Makita batteries.

Although I'm fairly certain DJ's post is just trolling, a wood cabinet does not serve the same purpose as this. This is basically a metal box for battery and charger storage since lithium ion batteries are one of the single biggest causes of fires. Storage in a metal container reduces that risk immensely
There is zero need to store LI tool batteries in a metal box, this is a ridiculous claim.

Family Handyman also has had similar plans for these types of shelves over the years; I've built at least two, and it's nice to customize for your own tools/battery/chargers. As stated before, if you're not regularly building similar projects and lack the skills or materials, buying something pre-made does make more sense.

I wouldn't advise leaving batteries in a hot garage in a locker like that. My garage gets to 120+ regularly in the south. Extreme heat significantly lowers the life of lithium-ion. I keep my batteries in the house and 5+ years later, they last nearly as long as they originally did.

i think ryobi is about to come out with a brand new storage system

edit: nm it's portable https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L1YImeN2Qgg

Not quite portable, but modular. Looks very interesting actually. You pretty much build your own using all of the different storage accessories. The portable option happens to be a part of it from what the video looks like.

Do they still take 6months to ship orders? Have had some great prices on things in the passed. But getting them to ship something youve bought seems impossible

I've ordered from them several times in the past few months and it's only been a couple days shipping
