A mistake when preparing rice could lead to either a burnt mess or soggy mush. Fortunately, you can make dinnertime easier with this rice cooker. Simply add your ingredients and select a cooking program to get started. A digital control panel with nine preset functions make it simple to cook a variety of foods. When your food is ready, the rice cooker automatically keeps it warm until you're ready to eat. Lift out the pot for easy serving and cleaning. Spend less time stressing about your meal and more time enjoying it with the Insignia 20-Cup Rice Cooker and Steamer.

Rinse the the starch off your rice for a min or 2. Mix knorr tomato base chicken stock powder with ur water that you get from walmart. Hit the rice button and you have Mexican style restaurant rice. Sorta. Lol. You can tweak how u wish. I'll puree a small can of rotel tomatoes to replace one cup of water for more color and tomato flavor. I use Jasmine rice. Seems to work best so far.

From my reading, 1.25c water to 1c rice. Rinse, then 3min high, then natural 15 min release. This is for white rice that comes out grainy but sticky like chinese style?
