Nice price but way too big for us.

Also, this is a repost: someone beat you to it.

I agree.
Rinse the the starch off your rice for a min or 2. Mix knorr tomato base chicken stock powder with ur water that you get from walmart. Hit the rice button and you have Mexican style restaurant rice. Sorta. Lol. You can tweak how u wish. I'll puree a small can of rotel tomatoes to replace one cup of water for more color and tomato flavor. I use Jasmine rice. Seems to work best so far.

Yeah, Jasmine is my go to rice. I'll usually take whatever roast juices I have or the extra broth leftover from when I've made soup. Then use that as the liquid for most of my rices. Add some garlic powder, cayenne, salt/pepper as needed

Yeah. Flavor has never been my problem, just the right texture and minimal stickiness is what I've tried to work on. Rinsing the rice pre cook has helped a lot. Any tips or tricks you have would be greatly appreciated

I haven't played with it extensively, but I think I usually do 1.25c water to 1c rice, then 3min high pressure with 15min natural release. I was making a lot of rice in it before but have been cutting back lately, so I forget exactly what else I was doing

Yeah I just recently learned of the natural release method. I did 5 min pressure and 10 release. I didn't see any major differences. Maybe a little from just straight 11 minute pressure pre set rice cook. But I usually let it set for 15 min or so after an 11 min pressure cook after I release the pressure too. And fluff it a bit every few minutes. So who knows. I just want to get my rice like my local Mexican restaurant consistency. I swear they use some special rice or something because I've tried about every different type of rice I can find. Lol. Their rice is so fluffy and delicious. And I'm getting frustrated I can't replicate it. I've even tried Browning the rice first and slow cooking it in a pot like it's usually done the authentic way and I still can't get it right.

I never could get white rice out of pressure cooker right.
From my reading, 1.25c water to 1c rice. Rinse, then 3min high, then natural 15 min release. This is for white rice that comes out grainy but sticky like chinese style?

Got one last time and it normal size to my family of four. It's a 10 cup uncook not 20 uncook.

This looks pretty much identical to my 3qt Instant Pot.
Is there a difference?
