I would only use this for thanksgiving… and in that scenario I already have a carving knife. Must avoid buying these kinda slick deals… I have so many small purchases made through slickdeals that are sitting unused.

Bought for foam. Tried to cut with a razor and it did not turn out well. An electric knife is the officially-documented method from Pelican.

I would only use this for thanksgiving… and in that scenario I already have a carving knife. Must avoid buying these kinda slick deals… I have so many small purchases made through slickdeals that are sitting unused.

It's definitely a specialty item, and I can get a lot more meat off the bird than with a regular knife since you don't need space for a sawing action.

On the flip side, I've never used one that didn't shred the meat slightly along the cut. With dry meats like Turkey breast that can make things even more choketastic than they already are. Like Turkey sawdust! Wink
