Acetaminophen is the only active ingredient in Tylenol. It's also the only active ingredient in generic Tylenol. Doctors will write prescriptions for generic drugs because they literally are the same thing, do the same thing and cost less. A doctor may suggest you take Ibuprofen or Tylenol for pain. Ibuprofen is Advil and Motrin. They are the same. The only reason I can think for a doctor not saying "take acetaminophen" is because it's not easy to say, remember or spell, and it just doesn't sit right in a conversation: "Honey, can you pick me up some Acetaminophen?" is probably something no one has said or will ever say. -So you literally you have nothing to worry about.

Not so sure about this stuff. I'm gonna have to wait to let others try it a little longer so I can assess the long-term side effects and make an informed decision.

I always have trouble ordering with walgreens. Couldn't even checkout on a .4 cent order. Waste of time...

They get paid by the hour...why would they care? If I were a Walgreens employee, I'd rather go get smaller, lighter orders than larger, heavier ones.

Pretty much all of the items Walgreens panic purchased for the pandemic are 90% off or better. Just step inside and look around.

Actually the two are different drugs.

Advil/Motrin (Ibuprofen) are a anti inflammatory blood thinning type of pain relief along with enzyme blockers.

While Tylonal (Acetaminophen) is a type of enzyme blocker for pain signals.

Doctors will use Tylonal and the like for people who may have blood or bleeding issues. Hence one of the reasons they don't give motrin or advil to pregnant women or bleeding injury victims. If you have them Advil they would bleed more or have issues clotting due to the blood thinning effects.
