1. I've never seen a 1600x900 screen that was IPS in a budget laptop. Nothing on Office Depot indicating it's an IPS display. This is typically one of the first places vendors cut corners on budget laptops.
2. An Hdd instead of an SSD, add $30-50 dollars to the cost to decide if you still like the deal.
3. The 1115g4, not a horrible CPU but not a good one either. Just above Chromebook performance. The 1125g4 might be worth it, it's a significant performance bump over the 1115g4. Probably can find a better deal on a Ryzen laptop in this price range. $50 to a $100 cheaper sure, but it's in the price range of some 5300u laptops.
4. Lenovo tends to use soldiered Ram in there laptops, especially at the budget end. But 8GB is a decent amount of Ram for the next year or two. Not sure it's enough to last under Windows 11. Windows upgrades tend to come with spec bumps.

Can you help find a laptop that I can get for wifey? I need it to be under $600.
6 cores 12 threads. Decent performer. Can be specced up to a 5700u 8 cores 16 threads, still in your budget.
Make sure you configure the 1080p display. Add $10. For a little more you can get a touch screen if that matters. The screen is only 250nits, so not for outside use. This might be a deal breaker for some.
Only 8GB but Has dual Ram slots for future upgrades. Good if you upgrade to Win 11.
Not sure what your wife needs, but I would either plan on bumping up to the 256GB drive for $20 or doing an after market upgrade. For basic use 256GB should be fine. If you want more than 256 and you are comfortable opening a laptop case I would recommend buying a $50-$60 500Gb drive and installing it yourself.
