Great deal.

I have one of these, only problem I have is that it is really difficult to remove the battery.

Yes, the battery is a pain to remove. Great light otherwise!

Don't forget that $20 off $200 coupon can be purchased at various sites. Just add a very cheap filler to qualify for the $200.00.

Doesn't appear hackable at the moment if you want the batteries instead of the tool--am I missing something?

Edit: To clarify, what I mean is that if I set the battery kit for local pick-up, no local stores show any quantity available in the cart. This despite the fact that all local stores show the same quantity (9) in stock...

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

Have this. It is fantastic.

Negatives:
- It doesn't charge batteries when an extension cord is plugged in.
- Batteries are annoying to remove (particularly new batteries with stiff latches).
- The lamp pole could have a better locking mechanism than friction (and may age badly).

Positives:
- Bright or brighter.
- For a work-light it is small and lightweight particularly when collapsed.
- Dual Power (i.e. use with an extension cord when convenient).
- Very flexible light directionality.
- Lasts a very long time.
- Low Battery indicator.

Three pro-tips:
- Pull the lamp pole up harder than you think it needs, and it will friction-lock better.
- For new batteries press in the release tabs a few times before you insert them to make them easier to release inside this light later.
- If you're using this during a power outage at home, instead of trying to direct the light set it on brightest and point it straight at the ceiling. The light will reflect & diffuse, and you'll forget you're even using a work-light.

I have a bunch of the M12 stuff and I've always found giving it a good thwack on the battery with your palm before removing it helps.

So for this do you buy the batteries, get the light free ($169 value) then return the batteries?

I don't see how it's a hack otherwise

Solid price. Be careful if you buy in store they have the exact same item with only one battery and it's $219 on sale.

Good light but I have to use a binder clip to keep the height in place.

Interesting if you buy this as the battery combo and add the free light
the light says everything correctly except it says it is 2135-20 which is the m18
"2135-20 M12 ROCKET Dual Power Tower Light"
