I know Royal Canine charges a premium but their ingredients isn't that great.
Royal Canin is also garbage. Add Science Diet and Iams to that list.

Trash website. Total conjecture.

If anyone wants actual good advice on food for their pet, ask your veterinarian or try an actual source from board certified pet nutritionists.

Purchased these once free with a coupon, the big feral guy I feed wouldn't even eat them. My cats sniffed and walked away.

Definitely bad advice without doing due diligence. Many vet chains are now owned by the same companies that make trash food so exclusively recommend it. Other vets have been assimilated since entering university.

Buying a Vetrinarian by Dr. Laurie Coger: https://healthydogworkshop.com/bu...erinarian/
Vets Get Fooled by The Pet Food Industry by Paula Terifaj DVM: https://paulaterifaj.com/vets-dup...-industry/

Royal Canin is one of the worst foods on the market. But Mars bought it to vertically integrate it with Banfield.

Oh, and Tufts?
"Tufts University Veterinary School is providing VERY misleading information to pet owners." - https://truthaboutpetfood.com/who...niversity/

Finally, unless a veterinarian had chosen nutrition as an area of specialization, the amount of time spent on that area of study is minimal.

None of those sources are any better or more trustworthy though than tufts. Claiming veterinarians have been "assimilated" and are wrong about good pet food and somehow you or some random person is better is absurd. For example, one of your sources, the "truthaboutpetfood" website, that article "the differences between pet feed and pet food" is written by Susan Thixton, self claimed as a "pet food consumer advocate". Why should I trust her over a veterinarian?

Ask a random vet if Purina, Hill's, Iam's, Royal Canin, Kirkland, etc is fine to feed a dog/cat and 9/10 they'll say yes. Your cat/dog can live a long and healthy life on any of those more likely than finding something that's not made to AAFCO standards (boutique/raw) and feeding them that.

Feel free to feed your own animals unhealthy garbage. There are pet owners and pet guardians. I doubt you know the real difference.
