  • Venmo Instructions:
    1. Open Venmo App (Android or iOS)
    2. In bottom left corner of app, click "Scan"

    4. Accept Permissions
    5. Click "Save for Later"
    6. Under Profile, select QR code symbol
    7. Click "Show to Pay" to being up your QR Code
      • Note, new Venmo users will need to verify identity under settings to use QR code

The offer is valid from 6-7-2021 to 9-10-2021 and only to the first 50,000 people. They don't give you the discount right at the cash register... they give you a $20 credit at some point in the future *if* you are the first 50,000. So it's impossible to know if you are going to get the $20 or not. Back when they had the $10 back on a $20 transaction, I had to contact the Better Business Bureau to get the $10 from PayPal. I advise you to steer clear of this one; PayPal doesn't have the best reputation at fulfilling promotions like this.

What a mess, CVS register locked up despite Venmo charging, had to go to another store and then neither worked. Friend had similar issues. Maybe it will still work tomorrow.

Thanks. Anyone know where to view in PayPal? I see other saved offers but not this one. Maybe it's been max redeemed in stores and not showing in offers because PayPal removed it from those of us who saved it but didn't use it.

i couldn't it in app anywhere, but if you go to paypal website you can see it under wallet.

I went to "offers" on venmo and click the $10 of $20. It will give you the QR code to scan during checkout.

You don't need to do anything for the $20 of $20 since its already saved to your account.

No go for me. I think because after the $20 I only paid $5 it did not activate the second reward. Must be something that paypal did for people who did this late but could be wrong

Same here. I did it at a self checkout. First one went through and used the $20 discount but the computer said there was an error. Phone showed clearly that PayPal took my money.

Cashier wouldn't have any of it and rang me up at her station and it went through. I have 2 charges of overpriced stuff I would have bought elsewhere.

Called PayPal and they said they would file a dispute. Kinda hard to explain why one charge was $2.29 and another is $22.29 unless you go into each transaction and look at the invoice.

someone mentioned earlier that your PayPal account must be REALLY verified...like with your SS number. I didn't trust PP so I never entered my SS# to be verified at the highest level. So I didn't see the $10 in my account either. I might call PP tomorrow and bitch about it if I am incline.
