Worth a shot to log in to your Discover card account and "chat" a rep. Four months ago, I came off a 12 month 0% APR on purchases and just got it again by asking. Of course TWO months ago I asked if there were any special APR rates and was told "no." Last chat was this:
Me: "Good morning, I was wondering if there were any special offers available on my card"
Rep: "Was there anything in particular you were looking for?"
Me: "Special APR for purchases or anything interesting?"
Rep: "I show you are eligible for 0% APR for the next 12 months, would you like me to apply that to your account?"
Me: Sure, thanks!

I never carry balances, but I'll short the dollar. Got this, asked for a credit limit increase, bought 200 oz of silver, and set to minimum monthly payments for the 1st time ever until promo is over. Rather use free money for metals and my earned money for Bitcoin. Overall credit utilization low, not buying a house in the next year. Thanks, Discover.

What's the percentage of the balance going to be to affect FICO score? 20%?

Now that I have this 0% APR promo, I'm thinking of making an excessive purchase that will take about 50% of my credit limit.

Is there going to be a time limit for this offer? I'll try to wait until around the holidays for added flexibility. Around January is the best time for the promotion to expire IMO.

Still working for me, they did ask me why I was asking for any "special offers" and I just said I'm going to be making purchases for the holiday season as a generic reason. They applied it after that no problem.

I want to do the same thing. How's Bitcoin going for you though? I'm still holding but not sure when to sell.

That's a loaded question. I'm one of those people that think BTC will be become the world reserve currency evenutally. The US gov't has put us in a spot where there's nothing they can do but default or implicitly default by printing more and more. I won't ever sell more than half of my holdings, and only bc I want to buy back lower.

If that's not you and you want to sell near the top of the upcoming blowoff to this bull cycle just to get more fiat then there's a few traders/analysts on twitter I trust. @360trader @100trillionUSD @WClementeIII @KevinSvenson_ @TechDev52 @JesseOlson @888Velvet, to name a few
