Amazon just announced a new set of 4k TVs, including a "4-series" and an upgraded "Omni series".

I just stumbled upon the fact that the 50" version of these TVs has a 22%-23% temporary introductory price discount, making the Omni series $399 (normally $509.99), and the 4-series $359.99 (normally $469.99).

Note below the price on the main screen, it says the following:

Introductory price of $399.99 (22% off) will be reflected at checkout. After introductory period, price will be $509.99.

I'm not sure at the moment how long this introductory price will last. The deal does not appear to apply to any of the other sizes. The TV is set to ship on 10/27/21.

Correct, only 65 and 75 inch versions of the Omni series support Dolby Vision

Hmmm... will wait for other Black Friday TV deals, and more importantly, the RTings review for this one. How do people like the Fire TV OS? I've really only used Roku and it's so slick.

Man what has happened to TV prices... I was hoping to get a cheap 50" TV for a pool table / bar room but prices are insane even for the cheapo brands.

I'm genuinely curious why Amazon feels this product is necessary and has value in 2021.

It's main selling point appears to be the far field microphones so you can interact with the TV for content better....LMFAO.

Guessing they figured out scraping valuable personal audio needs to happen where people congregate to consume media.

But hey, this will be able to display your Ring camera feed natively through the UI.

22% off the 75" @ ~$860 might be worth the risk of buying one before reviews

then again, knowing amazon these will be low end sets

Media reports say these are likely made by TCL

Just a regular 4k HDR TV. No HDMI 2.1 120 hz refresh rate.
