- Activated charcoal is extremely porous and is a great filter -- commonly found in air / water purification plants, sewage treatment, A/C filters. It also is used by hospitals to absorb some poisons for emergency detoxes.
- Using copper to prevent infection has been documented since ancient times -- but scientifically, it emits ions and disrupts bacteria cell walls.
