180 days of active service. It's actually more like 175, as I unlocked from a previous deal at that point to avoid paying for another month.

Also, if you move the SIM to another phone it will 'break' the required service time. Some people say you can 'resume' the clock by moving it back, but others say it starts over at 0 again. I didn't want to risk it, so I left it in the iPhone and paid for 6 months total (basically this deal gives you six months prepaid service you switch to the $30 plan with only 2gb of data). Earlier deals would only make you pay $60 or $120, and you could use referrals to help lower future cost some.

No. If you don't use that phone, you won't get 180 days credit for an unlock of that phone.

Link in the wiki was posted when this thread was new, a few weeks ago. Probably dead now. If you're looking for referral credit, check Ebay listings. They often post them with the link right in the description so they can get credit as the referrer without you having to buy anything through ebay.

FYI I redeemed this offer about 95 - 100 days or so ago. I ported out to Visible and am trying to bring that same number back into Cricket on this iPhone deal, and they won't allow for the promotion.

I'm a bit confused about the referral credit. Is this a credit? Or I can take 25 off the purchase of 180? I can't see eBay selling the coupon other than referral credit. If anyone know where I can still get a code to take 25 off 180, please let me know how to do this step by step.

There are 2 completely different codes.
1. The $25 referral credit, given by a current Cricket customer, is applied to your account 60 days after activation and is used to cover monthly service charges.
2. The $25 discount code, sold by eBay scammers or offered through pop-up window on the order page, is applied to the purchase price of the device when you check out.

Thanks for the feedback! I wonder what their threshold is... If you bought in July and did it just now, then it isn't the full six months / 180 days to qualify for promotional pricing.

Did you bring back the exact same number that you purchased the first iphone with for the second iphone purchase?

Well there is a limit of 2 every 6 months, so I'm guessing you order 1 each time correct?

I see. Yes, I order 1 each time. But I was not able to order a month ago, which could be because I ordered another one earlier this year
