This is a great laptop, very capable for its size, I love mine and this is a pretty good deal imo. Build quality is pretty good and the screen I actually think looks nice, not sure if they are using multiple panels in these as I've read bad things about the screen but I like mine.

Seems expensive.
I was just at Walmart and saw similar laptop that seems a bit better with 3060 for $1300 regular price. Its in stock and even had color posters so it's not even a new item.

The Walmart deal you mention sounds slick and I wish it were available online. : ( It has an excellent review here too: https://www.notebookcheck.net/Asus-ROG-Strix-G15-G513QR-laptop-review-AMD-and-Nvidia-combined.523159.0.html
However, and this is not a criticism, it isn't all that close to the OP's BestBuy machine which has a 16:10 screen ratio and is a 2-in-1 13" Touchscreen. Two different animals, so to speak.

This is a 2in1 which is hard to find with a dgpu.

There really is nothing else quite like this on the market. It does surprisingly well with exception of titles that require a good bit of VRAM. Battery life is not great but not horrible unless gaming...expect about 6-8 hours in my experience.

A. Form factor — x13 is much thinner and sleek
B. The screen on your isn't even comparable
C. External GPU — the appeal of the x13 is the external desktop GPU you can buy (in 3080 right now)
I don't know why people think.. 'ahh laptop, nope this one is cheaper and better' without doing their due diligence. If you think a Mobile 3060 is better than desktop 3080, I have a bridge to sell you. Of course that's an additional cost, but it's the main selling point of this laptop.
So, actually, no. It's apples to oranges.

I wish it had something better than a 3050ti. Other wise a beast laptoo
Asus makes an external desktop GPU for it. That's literally it's biggest selling point outside the form factor. Seems to be a lot of people missing the idea behind this laptop.
Why does Best Buy refuse to list the weight of laptops in the specifications. If weight did not matter to buyers of laptops they would just get a desktop.

It's going to make it difficult to choose between an X1 Yoga Gen 6 and this Asus line.
