Got one last week for this price(minus the lens) and I love it. (also own GP max, Insta360 4k, DSLRs etc)
On bright sunny days, DJI out of box colors are like a painting.
On cloudy days, colors get slightly soft (less contrast)
- The gimbal whips are super smooth for something so small.
- Some features (tracking?) won't work on Pro mode 4K etc so read up.
- No built in wireless...$99 for that add-on. That's a blue ball. So, you have plug it into your phone/pad.
- It's clunky with this next to your phone or pad. A holder for both is almost required.
- Oh, if your micro ssd isn't fast enough when 4k 30/60 is set, it may stop on you but only output a very short warning which I missed couple of times. I put in a SDSQXA1-256G-GN6MA.
Blame this book on caffeine, but hope that help someone on the fence.
I have the first version of this and it's pretty neat but honestly it sits on a shelf more often than not
I have this camera and use it for youtube. I shoot outdoors mainly and the wide angle lens is not particularly useful because the native lens is already pretty wide and because it's not compatible with ND filters. I would say you should wait for the base camera to go on sale if you are looking at this. DJI usually releases products on a 2 year cycle, and this one came out last year.
I also have the first version of this camera, and even though it's 2 years older, if you can live with the slightly narrower field of view, it's got more natural looking color reproduction and the performance is essentially the same. You could get a used one of those for about 100-150 most of the time and I think that's a good place to start if you are interested in this sort of thing.

It is great unless you want to record in 4k. The video I got from it in 4k was very choppy compared to GoPro. Returned it and will stick with GoPro since I do plan on using 4k. The built in gimbal is very nice though and it is extremely compact.
on paper it seems like the dji pocket 2 would perform better at low light. it has the bigger sensor out of the "action" cameras as well. lens are f/1.8
not going to compare, I believe m43 sensor should be 6x bigger, while f1.8 to f2.8 is about 2.3x difference. it can start to close the gap for sure, however fast glass on m43 are plentiful

How the battery on it? We have a GoPro and the battery sucks

I has the same issue withe Osmo 4k plus at 30 FPS and the Pocket 2 60 FPS,
Turns out I had a mediocre video card.
When I switched to a different computer, video was fine.
Not saying that was your exact problem just something I experienced.
Aslo the Pocket 2 needs U3 speed SD card. The Samsung U1 SD card I have couldn't keep up.
Got a used v1 for $65 and it pretty fun. Took some shots at the Mercedes Benz Coffee Shop in the Munich Airport and some lady was laughing at me. 4K video is quite good vs 4K on camera phones.
Got the FIMI Palm II Gimbal for $195 and it works great. Saved quite a bundle over the DJI Gimbal. Even at this price it's way over-priced. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/pr...uEQAvD_BwE

GoPro and Pocket 2 were both viewed and edited on the same PC with no issues for the GoPro. Pretty sure I had a faster micro sd card in the Pocket 2 than the GoPro but not really sure anymore. If it is not due to different micro sd cards, it may have to do with the formats that is used? I forgot if the two devices recorded 4k in different formats or not.
Can you use the DJI OM4 with these apps? I thought you had to use the proprietary DJI app with the OM4.
OM4 remembers the last mode you selected via DJI app so you can use any apps with that mode. I use OM4 with the default camera app because My phone is Galaxy S21 and the DJI app can't record 60fps with any resolutions. You can't use the tracking feature tho.
