The 8GB plan is a little cheaper than last time and the 3GB plan is a bit more expensive.

I've had CDMA verizon redpocket for almost 2 years, I'd say it's about the same as other verizon mnvo's, all of them seem to have occasional weird coverage issues that I don't think you'd get with verizon proper, but the cost savings are worth it. The only problems are:
1. visual voicemail stops working every few months, you have to call redpocket, they fix it in a 15 minute call, say this shouldn't happen again, and then it only works for another few months.
2. NO TETHERING on current phones! I had a moto x4 up until a few months ago and tethering worked fine. I just switched to a pixel 3a and found out that officially tethering IS NOT ALLOWED and it was just a bug with older phones that allowed it to.

Now I'm looking for a new provider when my year is up in a few months, I'll probably have to go with verizon prepaid.

att gsma redpocket does support tethering but you don't get visual voicemail for free. I took two phones on vacation to some national parks, att redpocket and verizon redpocket. the att usually reported the same signal or one bar higher, however in terms of actual data usability it was about the same, I saw somewhere that maybe att's thresholds for the bar levels are a little lower. But when it really mattered I was able to get just enough intermittent signal from verizon to get an email out whereas att was useless.

Also, att tethering apparently blocks all ports other than standard web traffic, so I had problems with some of my work apps that were fine with verizon.
Only for the few lucky ones who're eligible for this bucks promotion.
For those on or wanting the 20GB plan - which is regularly $336/year via their eBay store - was priced at $300 in late October 2020. I bought that on October 14th to be specific - more than a month before Black Friday.

Also, Red Pocket eBay plans can be applied up to 90 days after purchase... or at least that was the arrangement last year. My October 14 purchase was held and was applied on December 9th.... which from my perspective means I'm already within 90 days of my own renewal so my eyes are open for the next deal on the 20GB plan.

Last - tethering. I can't help anybody tied to or preferring the Verizon network. All I know is it's worked consistently on AT&T for years on every one of my phones.

Can this service be used with a Verizon home phone which uses cell service instead of land line?

Don't try the system, just go to google calendar and set up new event with 1 hour email notification before renewal date. Activate with number you are received by email 24 hour after you buy plan on ebay.

My service get de-prioritized always. Just waiting for the 1 year to complete so that I can switch to better provider. Anyone has any recommendation? My zip is 30024.
I'm on AT&T prepaid. Unlike most other wireless carriers, AT&T doesn't throttle/deprioritize their prepaid customers (except on their unlimited plans). You can pre-pay $300 and get 8gb/mo for 12 months, which is the same deal as this, just a little more expensive, and without having to worry about being deprioritized. Looks like you won't have any trouble with coverage in your zip code.

In my case, RP first says that the renewal date is 10/01, then that the plan renews on 10/31.
When exactly am I supposed to use the PIN to renew without wasting anything?
Open history - https://www.redpocket.com/user/orders
Take a look on ORDER DATE when you applied activation on your number.
KEEP IN MIND - this is not a yearly plan , it's 360 days plan. SO , ADD 360 days to activation date
If this date is different with date on the page https://www.redpocket.com/my-lines
contact RP by chat to fix it

The two dates you mention do match (10/31/2021).

However, once you open your line details from https://www.redpocket.com/my-lines, the next page says

Renews 10/01/2021

Anyone have experience in Seattle and the Bay area with the T-mobile version of Red Pocket?
Do your MMS work? On another prepaid carrier and they never work even with correct settings entered.

Yes to all of that. I've been on their GSMA plan about a year now. No issues with 2FA, hot spot (used with work laptop when internet goes out) and iMessage. No issues at all…and speeds are frequently 60MBPs down

When you click on your line details, the 'Renew' date is just when the data/minutes/texts renew every 30 days, not the entire plan renewal date (which is on the My Lines page).

I have RP T-mobile in the Seattle area and it seems to work the same as when I had T-mobile postpaid. MMS works on my phones (Blu & Ulefone unlocked from Amazon), no messing with settings.

My current plan isn't done until early December. Can I buy renewal one and add it one and it'll extend 1 year from then? Or is it just a year from now?

Hello! So long as it is the same plan you are purchasing, you can add-on now by selecting the "Renewal/ Existing SIM" option and extend your existing plan.

However, if it is a different plan you purchase, then it will essentially surrender the remaining balance upon activation of the new one.

Feel free to DM us if you have any questions about your existing plan or reach out to our eBay team, and we'll gladly help you out.
