To make life easier for you all, here's a direct link to the promotion rather than playing around with the assistant. Check multiple Google accounts to see if you're eligible! I'd paste it in an incognito window and login just to be safe....
Pixel 3a XL here, no go but thanks for posting, you did well! Only thing is to modify the the title to include YMMV, that's Slickdeals speak for "may be targeted" (Your Mileage May Vary).
I also have 7 or so Google Home/Nest Minis. Do you have any?
Just got it on my Samsung S21 Ultra. Just used Google Assistant a few times and it popped up. I did weather, then asked it to play music, and then asked it to open the camera, and finally asked it to find a photo. It then triggered the pop up for the discount and was able to order it.

Moto One Action here, got the offer.
No clue why, I have maybe 4 or 5 google 1st gen and 2nd gen mini speakers around the house.
The offer only popped up when I opened the actual app, not when I used "ok google" or long pressed home button to activate the assistant.
P.S. tried my coworker's OnePlus Nord N10 5G google assistant - no dice.

Galaxy S9: I asked my assistant "what time it was," "what is the temperature," & "open the camera" and the next time i triggered it manually it showed the ad for google mini for $9.99

I just got it on my new Pixel 2Xl but $10.00 is really expensive for a 1st gen Mini. I don't think I ever paid over $5.00 and still have about five that I haven't even opened.
Saw this a few days ago pulling up assistant. Disappointed it was Home Mini (1st gen) not Nest Mini, which has improved bass and fixes issues with touch on 1st gen. My bigger concern was effectively being served an ad on my Google Assistant screen.
