Bought this monitor a few months ago, just be aware it doesn't come with an actual monitor stand you have to clamp it on your desk or drill a hole through your desk like I had to do to mount it which was easy. The monitor and stand are very heavy duty, solid price. It's usually $650 for these.

I bought this last year from Costco when it came on sale. Not a gamer, and use it for productivity apps and video consumption.

The monitor arm clamps on your desk, articulates really well, and although has a smaller range of motion than my Ergotron, is suitable for the small everyday articulation -- honestly, I don't move my monitors on a regular basis. Really enjoy the amount of room freed up on my desk.

Use it with a docked MacBook Pro with MonitorConrol (https://github.com/MonitorControl...orControl) to use the mac keys to adjust brightness.

Amazing price.

They are completely different monitors class. This one has 4k resolution. The other 2 are only 2k monitors and can't be compared.

I don't understand why people ask for apple vs orange comparison. Not trying to be an a$$ but what is the reason behind this question? If you need a 4k monitor, have the required hardware to run it at 4k, and can afford it then this is the only choice of the 3 monitors. If you don't have the GPU/hardware to run games/programs at 4k then this is a waste of a monitor.

How big of a hole did you have to drill (diameter). My desk has one of those pass through holes for wires, ~3" give or take.

Debating. I need dual monitor not a gamer at all. Productivity. I was thinking dual 27. Anyone experience with dual of this size? Is it too much? Is this the monitor to get if max budget is 1200 for dual.
depends on what you do ... coding, spreadsheets ... I'd consider a 49", which is exactly equals to dual 27" without a bezel in between ... not to mention the wow factor Smilie

Correct, it has no Thunderbolt. It connects the mac via USB-C. No USB-A required (it becomes a hub, allowing USB-A devices to be plugged into the Mac via plugging them into the ports behind the monitor).
Wow, that's amazing. I thought the USB C was just for power delivery like charging. I didn't know you could plug in your USB A keyboard to the monitor!

Pretty small hole, I used a 5/16" drill bit for the hole and it fit pefectly. Just large enough for the bolt to go through.

this is +250$ for stand and usb-c hub. Not real 4k hdr 10, 5 ms rt = hard pass. Acer nitro 28 inch for 249$ at costco plus targeted 10% mir is the current best deal.

Seems holes for wire is specifically referenced in their installation video - someone posted it earlier in the thread.

Note that this monitor comes with a pathetic 1 year warranty from LG, which is truly shameful. 3 years should be the minimum. At least you have 90 days to return it with Costco.

I'm likely getting it regardless, as I've been on the hunt for a color accurate 32 inch 4k monitor for a while.

I'm not getting it for gaming, but it has Freesync to 60 Hz and a 5 ms input lag, which makes for some nice casual gaming after my work is done.

It also has color calibration software you can download and use to create hardware profiles stored in the monitor itself.

It uses a clamp, not a bolt. No drilling is required.

Its not really apples and oranges, its more like granny smith vs fuji's. I asked the question because I wasn't sure how much of a difference the 2k vs 4k was and if its worth the money. Besides, we dont even know if this monitor is actually going on sale, were only relying on a random picture the OP posted.
It's in the Costco coupon book sitting on my desk. And the 2K version is a totally different panel that bares no relation to the 32 inch 4k. So you're wrong on both things you're being arrogant about.

What's the warranty on this LG? I know Dell has a 3 year warranty on their monitors. I have a U2719DC and love it but in need of an upgrade. I also believe the U2720Q has an extra usb c port while this only has one.
1 year.

Hey guys. Can anyone comment on this for professional photo editing? Thinking of gifting it to someone who uses Lightroom etc a lot for fine art photography.
I'm a professional web designer and I'm likely picking this monitor up. It's been on my radar for a while.

The monitor has excellent color accuracy and a relatively wide color gamut. It's primarily designed for DCI-P3 color space, which is for video editing, but it also does 120% of sRGB which is used for websites, and most photography.

If the person does photos for print specifically, then they need aRGB - Adobe RGB - color space for the wider gamut of printing.

I would ask them what color space they use to proof their work. If it's sRGB or DCI-P3, this would be an excellent choice for a 4K monitor.

If they do print work, you should look elsewhere for a monitor that does 95%+ aRGB. I recommend BenQ proofing monitors for designers, in that case.
