Bought this monitor a few months ago, just be aware it doesn't come with an actual monitor stand you have to clamp it on your desk or drill a hole through your desk like I had to do to mount it which was easy. The monitor and stand are very heavy duty, solid price. It's usually $650 for these.

Review this video to see how this monitor works and how it installs, https://youtu.be/Vj-iaDNxr1c

I bought this last year from Costco when it came on sale. Not a gamer, and use it for productivity apps and video consumption.

The monitor arm clamps on your desk, articulates really well, and although has a smaller range of motion than my Ergotron, is suitable for the small everyday articulation -- honestly, I don't move my monitors on a regular basis. Really enjoy the amount of room freed up on my desk.

Use it with a docked MacBook Pro with MonitorConrol (https://github.com/MonitorControl...orControl) to use the mac keys to adjust brightness.

Amazing price.

They are completely different monitors class. This one has 4k resolution. The other 2 are only 2k monitors and can't be compared.

I don't understand why people ask for apple vs orange comparison. Not trying to be an a$$ but what is the reason behind this question? If you need a 4k monitor, have the required hardware to run it at 4k, and can afford it then this is the only choice of the 3 monitors. If you don't have the GPU/hardware to run games/programs at 4k then this is a waste of a monitor.

Hey dudes I'm running evga 3080ti and a Ryzen 3600x. Would this be a good 4K gaming monitor. I have a 2k 165hz for esports but want bigger screen for single player
60hz is perfectly fine for single player games but you might have trouble adjusting down due to competitive gaming. This monitor has good response time and above average input lag.

I play WoW at 4k on this 32" and have also played a bunch single player shooters (Prey, Metro series, Half Life series, for example).

This is one matching specs here.
That's a 24" monitor, and the features are different (e.g. this one has HDMI and Displayport). But if it's the same panel technology some of the below may be relevant.

"The LG UltraFine 4k is a decent 23.7 inch, 4k monitor. It delivers decent overall picture quality, with very good low input lag and decent motion handling. Like most IPS monitors, it has great wide viewing angles. This monitor has outstanding peak brightness and excellent gray uniformity, but it has mediocre reflection handling and doesn't look as good in a really bright room. Unfortunately, the backlight has a strange flicker frequency, which results in noticeable duplications in motion. It also doesn't look as good in a dark room, which is typical of IPS monitors."

Someone mentioned eye fatigue earlier and motion blurriness too. Could be relevant. Just sharing in case some might want to investigate further.

I went to Microcenter and checked out a few 32" 4K monitors and given how my desk is it would be too big for me at my viewing distance. In particular, the monitor felt too high vertically. leading to too much eye movement to look up and down. If you can place it further away it's not an issue, but it would be for me. I'm now exploring 34" ultrawide, which offers almost the same overall screen dimensions though at lower density. I found it a more comfortable size at the store.

For Mac users (I just joined the bandwagon an M1 Macbook issued from work): 34" 1440p is also in the sweet spot to match Mac UI elements without the need for scaling. More info here [bjango.com]. Scaling is obviously fine but it taxes the gpu constantly.

You may not notice a difference, honestly, and the gpu might handle it fine without heating up in normal work. But it's a consideration, especially for graphic intensive stuff. Read the link and make your own judgment.

Mac does scaling by just introducing pixel factor so it does not resize just zoom and also will not be able to scale non native resolution like 3440x1440. If you go M1 then you will have to use display link for second monitor. Display link would not support true hardware acceleration and won't sync frames.

I used 34 inch 1440p and don't like display link anymore as I believe that software is slowing my Mac down. However 34 inch 1440p is pretty cheap and common for obvious reasons.

Yes I know about the issues with two monitors and so I'd rather avoid external docks, displaylink and all that and just go with one big monitor (I also prefer this for some other reasons). Was just trying to choose between 32" 4k and 34" or 38" ultrawide (latter is 1600p I believe).

Do you have any opinions on 32" 4K vs 34" ultrawide? The article I linked (and a couple of others ones) suggest going for the latter because of matching apple UI ppi preferences, but I don't know how big that issue is. If you have any input I'm all ears.

EDIT: I also want thunderbolt connection for single USB-C cable to MacBook, but I don't know whether that's necessary, or whether I can go USB-C with pd and be done with it. Thunderbolt seems better for making the monitor into a true hub, though.

I will say ultra wide will not scale well as it is 1440p so at least get a 38 inch 1600p. You can get scaling in 4K only and that's only negative for ultra wide. You may be fine with 2k in ultra wide but may be regretting not having a 4K. That's the reason 24/27 inch 4K are costly ( supply demand, higher density) and better for simplistic dual monitor setup. So with ultra wide you are struck at font size and not be able to use a dual monitor.

For your setup I would recommend this one with a high probability of satisfaction for a minimalistic person. But if you are willing to spend then there are better ergotron arms, docks and so on. This monitor has everything but you are paying 25% markup for stand and built in dock so must be able to use it as well. I personally have spend a lot in accessories making this not worth for me, also I am happy with 1600p after using 4K for a while.

If you use multiple windows and need an M1 Mac single monitor setup then this is not for you.

If you are the person who actually does work and not waste time on SD like me and is content with things in general just order this one and forget trolls and their reviews for next two year.

Nobody is talking about this being a gaming monitor, but you, and it's not marketed or sold as a gaming monitor. However, gaming at 60Hz is fine if you're not young and think you have to have the latest and greatest and compete with all of your friends over who has the best monitor or have some kind of super human vision, that most people don't have. I say this as someone who's been gaming at 60Hz for over 40 years.
Completely agree on this point that this isn't a gaming monitor and shouldn't be judged as such, and 4k@60Hz w/ 5ms input lag will work fine for gaming. Though I don't think you need to be young to appreciate monitors with higher refresh rates that are better for gaming. I'm in my 40's...

I have a Dell S2721DGF which is a 1440p@165Hz IPS and is great for gaming (e.g. low input lag) and also good for work other than being a 1440p. Recently tried a an LG 4k@60Hz (32UN650-W) that is similar, and while gaming at 4k looked quite good and I enjoyed it quite a bit, going back to my high refresh rate S2721DGF made me realize how much motion clarity and general smoothness it had. Even playing something like Minecraft with vanilla graphics is more enjoyable when you are hitting 165+ fps on a 165Hz monitor. The S2721DGF is a better overall gaming experience, and I'm going to continue gaming on it if I end up with a 4k@60Hz for work.

I'll still keep playing console games on my 1080p plasma TV at 60Hz, but my old plasma has better colors and motion clarity than a lot of LCDs. Even a 30 fps game looks great on it (e.g. Bloodbourne plays fine on it, but was atrocious on the 4k@60hz 32UN650-W). Some day will get an OLED, which is the best for gaming at the moment.

Why do you say using an M1 Mac single monitor is not good with this monitor? I'm looking to buy this monitor and use a M1 MacBook Air

So it's technically the 23rd (12:10am) on the east coast and the deal is not live yet. I guess we are playing by west coast time as Costco is based in the Seattle area?

According to the specs the monitor arm only extends up to 180mm which is just over 7 inches. Yikes, that's not much, and if you are clamping it to the rear of a deep desk, that screen may be pretty far away. Yeah, it's a big screen, but for many of us old folks we still need it really close to our aging eyes, even with glasses.

Perfect timing as Costco sent me a $50 off $500 coupon earlier today in the email. Looks like the deal is live now. Ordered one.

I received mine the other day and have it attached to a 31.5" deep Ikea desk. The front of the screen is roughly half way back from the front edge of the desk when I have it fully extended. That's actually a little too close for me. Note that I had to put a piece of wood under the desk to tighten the clamp onto since it's made for thicker desks. A scrap piece of 3/4 hardwood flooring was perfect. I like the monitor so far although I do notice some color shift towards the edges when I sit straight on.
