Why does the title say "select customers"? This is the standard feature for everyone with these cards. Rotating categories.
these days you can buy any gift card to anywhere or even a visa prepaid credit card which you can use anywhere. But for 5% I don't know if it's totally worth it for many things. You lose all the credit card benefits like extended warranty, the ability to chargeback. (And if you're me then you might lose the cards)
i mean if that works then technically you can buy gift cards to anywhere and get 5% off.

The bigger question is if it also stacks with the Top Spend Offer : https://creditcards.chase.com/fre...spendoffer
to give you 11% or does Chase switch out the drugstores for the Top Spend.
We will know after Dec 31, 2021
Limited Time: Top spend category bonus
When you activate this quarter, you'll earn 5% total cash back (4% in addition to your unlimited 1% cash back) on up to $1,500 in the eligible rewards category where you spend the most from Oct. 1–Dec. 31, 2021.3 If you use PayPal, a Q4 bonus category, as a payment method for purchases in your top spend category, you will earn a total of 9%.
See FAQ for details.
Thanks for posting OP. Is this offer only for Chase Freedom Flex?
No. 5% at Walmart and/or Paypal is for both Chase Freedom and Chase Freedom Flex
There is another 5% offer that is out which stacks with the Paypal and that can be 9% if Paypal is used at drugstores.
This offer is Freedom Flex only.
I read about it earlier elsewhere and received the email today.
If I use PayPal, a Q4 quarterly bonus category, as a payment method for purchases in my top spend category, can I earn both offers?
Yes, however please note since both your top spend category and quarterly bonus category offers are earned as 4% bonus cash back on top of the 1% cash back you earn on every purchase, and the 1% can only be earned once per purchase, the most you will earn per $1 spent is 9% cash back:
1% base earn on every purchase
4% bonus earn on quarterly bonus categories
+ 4% bonus earn on top spend category
9% total cash back

If someone wants to earn free Cashback then they can buy stuff into any of these categories and return it. Chase will deduct points based on 1% only, netting you anything extra that u earned for that transaction. I noticed that for my transactions in groceries and others.

How did you pay at Corner Bakery using PayPal Key? I thought you could only use PayPal Key for online purchases, like your Amazon Fresh/Kroger deliveries. Or did you pay using your PayPal QR code?
Since this stacks with other offers like the 2% dining/drugstore purchases - even though you're paying with PayPal - it suggests that it might even stack with Chase Offers, which give a % or $ back for paying with your Chase card... as long as you can pay using PayPal at that shop.
For example, I currently have a Chase Offer for 10% back at CVS. Since I can pay using my PayPal QR code at CVS, I could theoretically get 1% (base offer) + 2% (drugstores) + 4% (PayPal) + another 10% back via the Chase Offer. That would be pretty phenomenal!
Corner Bakery was thru online order with curb side pickup. Just enter the PayPal key as MC online order

Chase Offers is separate from the cashback.
In essence, you are double-dipping.
Still coming soon here. I think its some algorithm thing that they don't want to admit to.
Still coming soon, I have been using the message center for the past 2 months and they gave me some fake ticket id that they pretend to know nothing about and wont give me an update on it
Even with newly created PayPal account, it says still "Coming soon"
Figured it out. Finally got someone from Paypal to call me. They have a limit of 5 Paypal keys and you get locked out. She wouldn't tell me what the 5 number correlated to, but I'm assuming it's a calendar year or rotating 12 month period.
Kind of defeats the point of a virtual card number but whatever. At least I know now, won't be able to use it until this promo is over probably.
Looks like Chase found out about the PayPal key pass through, my recent transactions are only 1% CB rather than 5%.
Yeah it seems theyve caught on. I recently did a large purchase through PayPal and it coded to 1%, eventhough it says on the transaction info that it was done through PayPal and it shows up in my PayPal activity. I sent a secure message asking about it and they asked for the PayPal receipts to show it was done through PayPal. I sent them a short while ago, will update here with their response.
