- Each round, one player selects a card and thinks up a clue inspired by the card. The other players all choose cards that they think match the clue. The cards are shuffled and then revealed. Players secretly vote for the card that best matches the narrator's story. The player whose card is chosen scores points.
- Dixit features 84 cards with original artwork illustrated by Marie Cardouat that depicts fantastical situations.
- This board game for adults and family can be played with 3 to 6 players and is suitable for ages 8 and older. The average playtime is 30 minutes.

Target in Huntsville, AL has multiple copies of Dixit on clearance for $10.79 (70% off). Based off brickseek this is the price at a majority of Targets around me, so it probably will apply to others, as well.

The way the game works is a lead player will play a card facedown and say a word or phrase describing the card. All other players play a card using the lead player's clue to try to trick other players to pick their card instead. If all players guess the lead players card, or if none of them do, then the lead player doesn't get any points but everyone else does. If only a few guess the lead player's card then the lead player and those that chose it get points, and anyone who successfully tricked other players also get points.
Definitely recommend picking this up at this price!
