No clue why it's being TD'd. Looks like a pretty good in store deal that's also available in California.
Because it's a 3070 from a company with the crappiest case in the industry.
You're basically going to take the 3070, the RAM, and the 5800x out, trash everything else, and start with a new MOBO, cooler, case, and fans. Or, just buy from a company that doesn't use terrible components.
I was seriously considering buying this R10 w/3070. Is it really that bad of a deal? I can't seem to find much better in that price range +- 200$? Does anyone know of a better deal atm? Thx

I bought one last week and so far it's been good. Just know what you are getting into. I recommend going to the Alienware reddit. People there have discussed their experiences with the system. I figure this system is the cheapest currently available with these specs and in a few years if I really don't like the case performance I can switch it. Or even modify it to have better airflow. If it comes to that I will still have saved money.

I have the R9 and the R12. Both are Intel. If you get any of the R series, make sure it comes with liquid cooling. It makes a pretty big difference. My R9 has stock air cooling and it makes decent fan noise when my kids play certain games. My R12 has liquid cooling and is pretty quiet. Alienware has/had good deals in the past where you could buy the system with 3080 for less than the price of the 3080 on the open market. Shipping might take a month but it shipped. Also SD rebates, CHASE rewards, AMEX making it a better deal.
