FYI, the way Verizon handles bill credit promotions on Device Payment Plans is that you will only receive the bill credits as long as there is a balance on the DPP. In other words, if you pay off the DPP early, you forfeit the remaining bill credits.
this seems like a good deal to finally upgrade my X. Going through the apple website I would get $200 off now and $600 as bill credits over 24 months making the iPhone 13 free.
Question for folks who are knowledgeable re Verizon trade ins. Let's say I buy the iPhone 13 Pro Max and trade in an iPhone 12. They give me trade in credits over 24 months. Then next year, I buy an IPhone 14 and trade in the 13. I stay with Verizon. Do I still get the credits from the iPhone 12? Or does the fact that I switched phones again mess everything up?

The 13 would need to be paid off prior to you trading it in. Once you pay it off you no longer receive the bill credits for that trade in. So another way to answer your question is that you will not receive bill credits for both trade ins when you upgrade to the 14. If you upgrade halfway through the promotion you would have only realized half the value of the promo trade in.

No. You will lose the remaining credits. Promotional credit is just a renamed contract. If you leave early, the remaining credits are early termination fees.

These female dogs will do anything not to say contracts but if it looks like a contract, acts like a contract and reads like a contract it's a CONTRACT!

Thanks. That's what I figured. And, why I don't do trade-ins through the carrier…. They are lucrative otherwise though!
I wouldn't leave Verizon (I get the old ETF system)- it's more that I want the new phone. It's pretty crazy they can offer you X in trade and then give you 50% and keep your phone, just because you pay the new phone off early and upgrade again.

No, you are supposed to pay of your iPhone 13 before upgrading to 14., so you will loose your credits for trade-in the moment you pay off your full phone.
I took the plunge, trading in my iPhone 11 Pro Max for the 13 Pro Max. After $1000 credit it works out to $16/mo. Not sure I want to wait another year for the possibility of them doing away with the notch but certainly no guarantee. If they do make the perfect phone next year I may just bite the bullet and take my $500 "loss", assuming they have another $1000 upgrade deal then. No guarantee of that either. If I wait another year and they will only give me $500 for my iPhone 11 Pro Max at that point, then I am equally as well off.
Guess it's a gamble. They are giving $800 for the iPhone XR that is on our plan also. So they don't seem shy about giving higher credits even on older devices.
Ah well. I am going to benefit from the 5G and mag safe immediately by upgrading. If I had a 12 Pro Max I think I would wait.
The deal here is to buy a damaged working iPhone 11 pro on the cheap (<$200) and trade it in for $1000 of bill credits. Then sell your perfectly fine current phone on FB/CL/Swappa/etc. and profit.

Apple website says available 9/24. Are they back ordered already?
