I have had one of these for the last three years. It is my favorite keyboard. I had the Razer chroma V2 and for me this blew it out of the water

Redragon makes some REALLY crappy products. I would hard pass on this.

They did a good job with this keyboard IMO. I've had mine for a year and I really like it. The keyboard I had before was a Tomoko TKL from Amazon and comparing the two, the build quality on this is much better. For $20, it's a good way to see if you even like mechanical keyboards, you can always upgrade to a nicer one later on.

I have quite a few Red Dragon products from at least seven years. None of them are broken in any way. They have some cheap mice, but those are under $15. Otherwise, their products are great. Their Cobra FPS mouse is excellent.

This is an excellent keyboard with quality switches. I have an older version of this for five years with blue switches that works perfectly. I'll get a backup for $20.

I don't know why this product is so popular aside from the price.

I love a good cheap keyboard, and no rainbow colors!
Thanks OP.

King of the budget mechs.

Pretty good keyboard except outemu switches don't last. If you know how to solder and are willing to go through the hassle this is a good buy.

I have moved onto hot swappable which can be had for $50+

Blue switches may not be cool for your coworking spaces fyi-- they are somewhat loud. Had this for a minute years ago, but wound up giving it to friend. Not a bad switch feel for the price, but not exactly premium.. if I had to do it over again with the knowledge I have now, I might opt for a hot swap keyboard when they go on sale. They would cost an additional 50 bucks versus this, but it gives you the chance to experiment and find what suits you. I also went way down the rabbit hole into the world of ergo mech keebs (currently on an ergodox ez, building a corne with chocolate low profile switches, and upgrading a sofle 58 with dragonfruits to use an elite c mcu after busting the solder joint on the pro micro), so maybe take what I say with a grain of salt :p

Also look at the $50 EVGA Z15 if you want a budget mech keyboard.

Also please turn off open mic in games if you have blue switches. Most people don't set the mic up well enough to filter out all the clicky clack.

(Or just buy Reds because they're the best anyway.)

Red Dragon and Ducky have been my most reliable keyboards to date. Red Dragons especially dont go bad, I have 3 that work excellent, about 3 years in now.

Redragon has pretty decent quality products for their price. I bought a Redragon K585 one handed gamepad/keyboard a few years ago and it's been solid for me, haven't had any issues using it.
