Make sure you keep a screenshot of your order summary where it mentions the gc. Knowing comcast you won't get anything and the horrible CS will ask you to cancel your service.

I've gotten multiple gift cards from XM without issue in deals like this. Last year the two I got with the iPhone 12 Pros came in like a month. It used to be 12-16 weeks and took every bit of that. Even though this isn't a significant upgrade for me, it's really tempting.

Nope. If you're a new customer and porting in - you get it as "bill credits over 24 months". If you terminate early, you lose the discount over the remaining period ($15 per month x number of months remaining); you'll effectively be paying full price less the number of months that you actually got the $15/mth discount.

If you are a new customer and want to get the GC instead of bill credits

1) Port in as a new customer with your existing phone (BYOD)
2) After line ported in, ask for upgrade; you pay the full price ($729 for the iPhone 13 mini and so on).
3) Anywhere between 4 - 12 weeks after, you'll get a $300 gift card.
4) After 60 days service and paying at least one billing cycle - you can request unlock of the iphone.
5) After unlocking + getting the GC : you can cancel service or continue as you wish.

Iphone data usage on XM?

Looking to upgrade from a Samsung Galaxy A50 (already on XM) to a new IPhone 13 Pro. I have read in the past that the Iphone's can be data hogs? This would be for my wife who is on wifi most of the day (at work and at home) but she keeps her data on at all times. Most months we are able to stay under the 1 gig of usage on XM.

Just wondering what peoples results are as far as data usage goes with Iphones on XM? Anyone come from Android on XM to Iphone on XM and can give me some real world comparisons? I would hate for the new Iphone to eat through data and bump up our XM bill. And no my wife won't turn off her data, lol.

Thanks,

-Guru

This is a worry of mine as well...

I've found that increased data usage could be due to some of the settings being auto re-enabled after an update (or as shipped). There are many settings that use quite a bit of data behind the scenes.

I'd suggest checking out the following youtube video: iOS 15 Settings You Need To Turn Off Now by Payette Forward (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LxdoC2sG1i4) or something similar for suggestions on which ones to turn off (or on depending on the case).

Good luck.

I work from home and use wifi and also leave my data on. I use about 0.5 Gb per month. My wife has a Google pixel and also uses wifi/data and works from home and her phone is typically 0.3 GB per month.

So just to confirm you are using about 0.5gb per month on an Iphone correct? If we could stay around that usage that would be fine.

Thanks for the video link. Are you a current Iphone user on XM?

Our current usage for the month of september is:
Me (iPhone): 0.39GB
Wife (Pixel): 0.46GB

Most months, my usage is around 0.5 GB and my wife would typically be around 0.3 GB.

Anyone else order post launch getting earlier delivery times?

I ordered 9/27 - estimated delivery 11/05 - I had to wait on a new CC to arrive to put in my order so it was painful seeing the backorder continue to stretch out.

Seems like basically everyone else has priority over xfinity mobile... for example Verizon, Bestbuy, ATT all have mid october ship dates...

Ordered Pro Max on 9/17, arrived 9/24. Then ordered an Pro 9/24, it has been shipped and would arrive 9/29.

It was back ordered when I received the confirmation email but shipped soon after that.
Thanks. Smilie

For folks who did BYOD and upgraded i just want to add that i ported 2 numbers from Total Wireless and qualified for $25 gift card and same day i upgraded 2 lines with iPhone 13. Both lines show $300 pending gift card in Xfinity rewards center so it doesn't matter if you have a new number or you bring your number.
Just a note from what others have remarked. The two rewards do show up initially. But come later months the system sees two rewards and I believe there's a possibility that one of them might get cancelled. You might have to fight with the Xfinity reps to get them reinstated.

May I ask where you see that 9/30 expiration date? I can't find a date on my rewards. I'm debating about upgrading here.

I dont see the reward for byod promo. Only 300 promo is visible. Also for the iphone promo i need to keep phone active for 15 days so i will get to know the status soon.
