$100 off iPhone 13 Pro with activation. Then an additional $100 off extra value for your trade in. (Apple gives $350 for an iPhone 13 Pro, while BB gives $460)

Im upgrading / trading my iphone 11 pro max .
Pre-ordered yesterday 09/23/2021 around 10 AM.
got a text an email this morning saying its ready to pick up.( was kinda surprised about this , but ig because this best buy has less people preordered , or got more stock , im in missouri)
I backed up my old phone to my computer . and reset the phone.
Got to best buy( I was one of the first 3 people there so i got help right away) , the guy asked me for my order number and name, then told me to get with a lady.
the entire pick up was about 15 mins, she asked for my id , then my old phone, she spent most of the time input stuff into the system. I confirmed on the machine my info is correct. she handed me the new iphone new in box with a sim card on top. I asked if she need to activate the phone or anything and she said no , when i put in the phone it should activate it self. got the phone and the receipt , now im heading home.
She didnt open the new phone box at all , she didnt ask if I need to transfer my old phone data to the new phone ( might be she noticed my old phone got reset)
Only do it if you have a iPhone 8 or below.
Not worth $700/800 after all the hassle that you have to go through.
Your XR should be good through iPhone 14

Edit: Bestbuy seemed to have fixed the difference. Now trading in Tmo phones estimates the same value with the 100 bonus just like other carriers
My phone is unlocked; can I select another carrier to get the extra $100 in trade-in value? Or is the promo for porting in from another carrier to T-Mobile?

Same, should be okay to chose another one. But Can't get the preorder through anyway. At check out process after phone number and ssn, can't receive the verification code on text nor email…

I have a Verizon and T-Mobile SIM, but I am only upgrading my T-Mobile one. Would I need to put my Verizon SIM in so I can get them to quote me at $620? Or just tell them it's unlocked? Not sure how Best Buy Mobile does things these days.

Does anyone know how the trade in/activation work buying this at Best Buy? I'm already a current TMO user and not sure if this involves a long term contract?
I've already ordered the 13pro this morning directly from Apple as a one time payment.

I tried to ask Apple for a price match, but they said they wouldn't for a 24 month financing agreement on Citizens One or an Apple Card purchase. They said to buy it outright for a price match and then wait for a trade in kit in the mail to send an old phone back and then get refunded the $ on the payment method.
To me, too many steps to go through Apple. I think these T-Mobile devices might be locked to T-Mobile and then it requires to get it unlocked through T-Mobile after a certain amount of time.
