For some, paying less now and in total, plus not worrying about the credits, is worth it.
Random T-Mobile numbers are getting this error message after entering phone number and SSN. "We're sorry, there was an issue processing your request. Please try again later." This is also happening on Apple's websites to those same numbers having the issues. T-Mobile is trying to fix the issue, but does not have an ETA.
So did some math and realized it's not really any great deal. (Good deal so far but you find better deals later if you are no in a hurry).

Im upgrading / trading my iphone 11 pro max .
Pre-ordered yesterday 09/23/2021 around 10 AM.
got a text an email this morning saying its ready to pick up.( was kinda surprised about this , but ig because this best buy has less people preordered , or got more stock , im in missouri)
I backed up my old phone to my computer . and reset the phone.
Got to best buy( I was one of the first 3 people there so i got help right away) , the guy asked me for my order number and name, then told me to get with a lady.
the entire pick up was about 15 mins, she asked for my id , then my old phone, she spent most of the time input stuff into the system. I confirmed on the machine my info is correct. she handed me the new iphone new in box with a sim card on top. I asked if she need to activate the phone or anything and she said no , when i put in the phone it should activate it self. got the phone and the receipt , now im heading home.
She didnt open the new phone box at all , she didnt ask if I need to transfer my old phone data to the new phone ( might be she noticed my old phone got reset)
Only do it if you have a iPhone 8 or below.
Not worth $700/800 after all the hassle that you have to go through.
Your XR should be good through iPhone 14

There was a phrase during check out that said: "These are the charges that will be added to your T-Mobile bill, plus any applicable taxes, fees or surcharges."
Which I don't know what that exactly entails.
1. Worth the upgrade from Xs to 13 pro max?
2. If it is worth it, how do I go about trading my phone in and getting it? It's T-Mobile unlocked
But buying the pro max would I jus buy it for Verizon? I'm assuming I can't do the payments I'd have to buy upfront cuz of activation?
I'm planning on moving to Verizon prepaid next month (got a free month of service to use for total wireless)

Edit: You also save on tax as well since BB only charged tax on the $169.99 rather than the whole thing. Was $14 of tax instead of 66 at apple. I paid outright without bill credits.
Best Buy: $1,100 - $775 for trade in - $100 off extra = $225
Apple: $1,100 - $790 for trade in = $310, minus $200 from T-Mobile over 24 months = $110. Also with Apple I'm paying off that $310 over 24 months so the only money up front is tax and my net monthly cost will be $4.50 or so.
This ends up being cheaper and I don't plan on leaving T-Mobile over the next two years anyway. What are others seeing here that makes this deal better than Apple's?
