Random T-Mobile numbers are getting this error message after entering phone number and SSN. "We're sorry, there was an issue processing your request. Please try again later." This is also happening on Apple's websites to those same numbers having the issues. T-Mobile is trying to fix the issue, but does not have an ETA.

Im upgrading / trading my iphone 11 pro max .
Pre-ordered yesterday 09/23/2021 around 10 AM.
got a text an email this morning saying its ready to pick up.( was kinda surprised about this , but ig because this best buy has less people preordered , or got more stock , im in missouri)
I backed up my old phone to my computer . and reset the phone.
Got to best buy( I was one of the first 3 people there so i got help right away) , the guy asked me for my order number and name, then told me to get with a lady.
the entire pick up was about 15 mins, she asked for my id , then my old phone, she spent most of the time input stuff into the system. I confirmed on the machine my info is correct. she handed me the new iphone new in box with a sim card on top. I asked if she need to activate the phone or anything and she said no , when i put in the phone it should activate it self. got the phone and the receipt , now im heading home.
She didnt open the new phone box at all , she didnt ask if I need to transfer my old phone data to the new phone ( might be she noticed my old phone got reset)
Only do it if you have a iPhone 8 or below.
Not worth $700/800 after all the hassle that you have to go through.

It is true that if you purchased the phone outright or paid it off, you need to be at least 40 days more on the service to get it unlocked. However, for iPhones there is a trick.
There is something called 'temporary unlock' that you can request from them. They usually do that if a customer has an international trip planned and wants to use the local carrier's SIM. It does not matter if the device is paid off or on EIP. That unlock is usually good for 30 days and can be requested twice a year (I might be wrong on this).
Now, the thing is that iPhones are locked/unlocked through Apple servers and there is nothing temporary about that! So, once unlocked, they stay unlocked !
P.S. I did that after getting my 11 Pro on EIP and 'temporary' unlocking it for my India trip after a month. It has stayed unlocked till date. HTH.

I tried to ask Apple for a price match, but they said they wouldn't for a 24 month financing agreement on Citizens One or an Apple Card purchase. They said to buy it outright for a price match and then wait for a trade in kit in the mail to send an old phone back and then get refunded the $ on the payment method.
To me, too many steps to go through Apple. I think these T-Mobile devices might be locked to T-Mobile and then it requires to get it unlocked through T-Mobile after a certain amount of time.
