  • How Trade-In Works:
    1. Calculate your trade-in phone's value
    2. Buy your new phone online
    3. Complete your new phone purchase online and activate your phone on the carrier's network (Best Buy will help with all that.)
    4. Pick up your new phone in one of our stores
    5. Bring your trade-in phone with you when you pick up your new one. Best Buy will check to make sure you're trading in the same phone you told them about online and check for any damage that might make your trade-in ineligible for the promotion.
    6. Best Buy will take your trade-in's value off the cost of your new phone.
      • Trade-in value is calculated to represent a working phone that turns on and does not have a cracked or broken screen. Your phone will be evaluated when you trade it in to validate that it meets all requirements.
      • Your order must be picked up from a store to complete your trade-in and apply its value to your new phone purchase.

You can trade it with Apple or Best Buy just fine. If you trade it in with T-Mobile you need to pay it off first.
You sure about that? I've read some conflicting reports online.

It will work out of the box for mint at least that's my experience when I got the T-Mobile iphone 11. The other thing is you don't have to wait to unlock when you use Twitter to ask T-Mobile force to unlock it so that may save you the extra cost of waiting to unlock- just cancel after unlocking through Twitter
Are you sure Tmobile will unlock it before the 40-day minimum requirement is met? https://www.t-mobile.com/responsi...ock-policy

Yes one of my line still doesn't work, no verification code.
FWIW I saw that they do seem to generate one in the background but we never receive it. I had a chat with their customer support and they said they don't know why it happens and that a BB rep is going to call me to set things up.

Yes i am sure because i have done that in the past. Apple or best buy doesn't care as long as phone is not black listed. You cannot trade a financed phone with T-Mobile but you are fine otherwise.

Paid only $100+tax for 13 pro 128gb by trade in 12 pro 128gb with my current t mobile one plan.
I don't think there is any better deal than this.
As Apple is also doing the same but giving $640 trade in value plus $200 from tmobile so $840 total value for my 12 pro
I totally agree with this… I started ordering upgrades for all my lines with iPhone 12…. iPhone 12 to 13= $79 and 12 pro to 13 pro $99?!! Plus the tax is based on the different rather than the whole purchase?!?!? Run now!

Just writing for others that may have issues verifying with tmo on best buy website.
I first called t-mobile to enable short codes as I wasn't getting verifications code even from before from other institutions.
Then I realized the activation code only works for the primary phone listed on the account, at least in my case.
Once I manage to pass the verification code part everything else is straight forward.
My primary account holder is my friend .. Do I need to go through him ( His SSN) to get it upgraded or is there a way I can use my credentials… Right now my Credentials don't work through BB

I just ordered and traded in my old iPhone 6S. Got $230 off total ($100 promotion and $130 trade in value).

I assume pick up will be on the 24th? They didn't say which day is pick up.

That's what we're doing - could maybe get $50 more than the TIV, but not worth the hassle, plus battery life is probably mid or low 80's for these, and 64gb small for many...

Anyone know what the process is like during pickup? Scan a few barcodes, drop your old phone off and go?

I've been using big phones for a while (s21 ultra, note 20 ultra, 12 pro max, etc..) and after using the iphone 12, which is same size as PRO, I don't think I'll go big anymore.

I'm a regular sized dude, but my fingers/hands didn't get that "tired" feeling when using the smaller phone, which is VERY VERY refreshing. I don't watch videos for entertainment purposes so thats also another reason why going smaller isn't a big deal. The 12/13 Pro Max will REALLY tire out your hand especially due to the squared edges. There's a reason why the PRO was extremely popular last year.
I personally only went went the Pro Max because of the roughly 6 additional hours of battery life + how I enjoy not running to my iPad to watch things.

I fully agree though - a 6.1 inch screen is more than enough and if there wasn't such a cheap price difference I'd just got the Pro. My wife has the 11 pro and it's plenty big.

https://www.mintmobile.com/plans/ you get 15gb/month for $25/month if you pay for a year upfront.
The plan looks decent and actually the $30/month unlimited looks tempting but no discount on new iPhone 13?

Bet if I'm able to upgrade without messing up my simple choice plan with t mobile I might as well pay the remaining $100 I owe and upgrade to 13 pro. Guess there won't be discounts or promos like this come Black Friday

We are SOL. I have been trying for the past 2 days with TMob and BBuy but no one was able to help. If we have some corporate discounts then we are out of luck. I hope you have the discounts on your simple choice plan.
Same issue on a biz plan. I spoke to T-Mobile biz help and they said it should work if you use last 4 for your biz tax Id…it didn't for me so I called Best Buy and the rep told me it can't verify biz accounts because t mobile doesn't give Best Buy access to the]one types of accounts to verify. So blame t mobile. They should want to enable this as its Best Buy taking the hit on price etc!!
