For some, paying less now and in total, plus not worrying about the credits, is worth it.
Random T-Mobile numbers are getting this error message after entering phone number and SSN. "We're sorry, there was an issue processing your request. Please try again later." This is also happening on Apple's websites to those same numbers having the issues. T-Mobile is trying to fix the issue, but does not have an ETA.
So did some math and realized it's not really any great deal. (Good deal so far but you find better deals later if you are no in a hurry).

Im upgrading / trading my iphone 11 pro max .
Pre-ordered yesterday 09/23/2021 around 10 AM.
got a text an email this morning saying its ready to pick up.( was kinda surprised about this , but ig because this best buy has less people preordered , or got more stock , im in missouri)
I backed up my old phone to my computer . and reset the phone.
Got to best buy( I was one of the first 3 people there so i got help right away) , the guy asked me for my order number and name, then told me to get with a lady.
the entire pick up was about 15 mins, she asked for my id , then my old phone, she spent most of the time input stuff into the system. I confirmed on the machine my info is correct. she handed me the new iphone new in box with a sim card on top. I asked if she need to activate the phone or anything and she said no , when i put in the phone it should activate it self. got the phone and the receipt , now im heading home.
She didnt open the new phone box at all , she didnt ask if I need to transfer my old phone data to the new phone ( might be she noticed my old phone got reset)
Only do it if you have a iPhone 8 or below.
Not worth $700/800 after all the hassle that you have to go through.
Your XR should be good through iPhone 14

I currently have an unlocked iphone 12 pro max which I am using with tmobile. If i use the "upgrade" option on bb then am i getting into eip plan on my new iphone 13 or any kind of contract . Please advise.
I also have esim and I just changed it back to a physical sim (I had an extra one available). The bestbuy sales associate said they will take your trade-in phone before they give you your new phone. You wont be able to transfer the data yourself at the store. You will have to backup and wipe your phone before the tradein. They will charge like $40 to transfer the data for you. I changed the esim back to a physical sim because I don't want to give them any excuses to charge me extra money.
If so whats the process like?

Also, who knows if T Mob charges activation fee of $35.

Nevernind, I just checked the website and it says "coming soon", so I guess that program is not live yet.
When BB asks for SSN ive been told to give last 4 digits of your biz EIN (or tax Id).
It won't work. I've spent 2 days on with t mobile and Best Buy support.
Unless anyone else here has solved it for business accounts?
