  • How Trade-In Works:
    1. Calculate your trade-in phone's value
    2. Buy your new phone online
    3. Complete your new phone purchase online and activate your phone on the carrier's network (Best Buy will help with all that.)
    4. Pick up your new phone in one of our stores
    5. Bring your trade-in phone with you when you pick up your new one. Best Buy will check to make sure you're trading in the same phone you told them about online and check for any damage that might make your trade-in ineligible for the promotion.
    6. Best Buy will take your trade-in's value off the cost of your new phone.
      • Trade-in value is calculated to represent a working phone that turns on and does not have a cracked or broken screen. Your phone will be evaluated when you trade it in to validate that it meets all requirements.
      • Your order must be picked up from a store to complete your trade-in and apply its value to your new phone purchase.

I need to upgrade my mom's 7+. I think this is the best deal out there when trading in an older device for the 13 Pro Max.

I'm debating on if I should trade in my 12 pro max for this. 875 is a lot with the $100 off as well. Gonna have to make a decision soon. Dang
Are you on Tmobile now? Or just buying to get phone and leave?

I have question. Step 5, Under Brand, select Apple then select model, capacity, color and carrier of phone then select "Get Value" The carrier listing have only five options, "Unlocked" and the Big Four. But I have phone locked to Total Wireless, what should I choose? Talked to BB rep, and he said I have to unlock it first. Is that true? Any help will be appreciated, Thanks!

I won't pull the trigger after all but might be a great deal for you guys. I just don't want to create a new account since it's my only choice to join Tmobile and get this deal, the thing it's that they will be hard pulling my credit report. Besides that I applied for a Chase Sapphire Preferred credit card that offers me 100k points after spending 4k in the first 3 months. I was checking into how to redeem those points through chase bank app and guess what...I can get the phone free by spending a bit less than those 100k points I will be getting, so yes, for me it was a much better deal to run my credit for 10k+ credit card approval and a free phone(if I redeem the points for a phone) after spending 4k in 3 months. Best wishes to all of you guys, I know for many of you this might be a better deal than for me since you might already be clients upgrading.

I'm on T-Mobile, a family plan. So I don't think were leaving the company any time soon. Why, what's up?

When I've paid off phones early, the bill credits have been applied to my line. I've even had stacking credits from multiple promotions (iPhone XR promos and iPhone 12 promos both being applied).
What made you pay off the phone early? I'm thinking I can just trade in my 11 right now that still has bill credits and just keep my account open.

He probably had to pay it off to trade it in for another T-mobile promotion.

If you're trading in to Best Buy, yes you can trade it in without paying it off first.

Haha just simple curiosity no more! I have same trade in phone but am on USMobile ($15/moth 5GB) so I want to buy and leave as soon as I can. This seems by far the best deal for me and those that want to bail quickly. That $975 trade in is hard to pass up for anyone. I was going to sell my iPhone 12 Pro Max on Swappa but prices have declined below this now. Think it's time to pull the trigger. Probably for you too ha!

I asked #3 earlier. Didn't get any response so far. What's the credit check for when the rebate is instant and no bill credits?
Supposedly no. Another member said to have done this with Verizon through Bestbuy in the past and said you don't create an account until you register. So no hard credit pull was done on his/her order for a new account.

Try going thru the process on line. If it's like me and other business plan customers, the verification won't work and yiu won't be able to get the deal.
When BB asks for SSN ive been told to give last 4 digits of your biz EIN (or tax Id).
It won't work. I've spent 2 days on with t mobile and Best Buy support.

Unless anyone else here has solved it for business accounts?
For those of us with business accounts, corporate/employee/gov't discounts, you may need to message T-mobile to change your account type to "individual regular". See the attached screenshot and this link over at macrumors https://forums.macrumors.com/thre...878/page-8. Changing the account type to individual regular is one thing for sure that has worked for a lot of people, but not everyone.

I've been trying to pinpoint the problem and thought it was only the gov't discount, but then I have seen others post being on simple choice with a gov't discount and still able to upgrade through best buy without having to remove their discount.

So ultimately what I want to know is if everyone who is having this issue on simple choice with or without a employee/gov't discount, do you have active EIPs on the lines you're trying to upgrade? My account has this on every line. If this is the problem then I think paying them off to move them to account level to continue receiving credits should clear up the lines for an upgrade.

I'm on simple choice, government discount and multiple EIPs. I was able to order 3 phones without issue on Friday. I actually ordered all 3 phones on the same line which already has an EIP on it.

I don't think EIPs have anything to do with it since Best Buy does not have access to your account at that level. I believe all they can verify is that you have an active T-mobile account. Best Buy can't do anything to the account, which is why they're only able to sell the phones at full price.

Question I hope SD can help me with:

My contract with ATT is up on 9/23. If I pre-order new iphone 13 pro today with this deal, will my number ports immediately to tmobile? Or will my number port when we pick up new iphone 13 in the store? The "activite today" terms kind got me concern. Don't want to pay early termination fee to att if possible.

TIA

I don't believe ur number will port now. If you go through the pre-order process on BB website I do not think they are asking for info needed to perform port-in (account number/pin etc).
