  • How Trade-In Works:
    1. Calculate your trade-in phone's value
    2. Buy your new phone online
    3. Complete your new phone purchase online and activate your phone on the carrier's network (Best Buy will help with all that.)
    4. Pick up your new phone in one of our stores
    5. Bring your trade-in phone with you when you pick up your new one. Best Buy will check to make sure you're trading in the same phone you told them about online and check for any damage that might make your trade-in ineligible for the promotion.
    6. Best Buy will take your trade-in's value off the cost of your new phone.
      • Trade-in value is calculated to represent a working phone that turns on and does not have a cracked or broken screen. Your phone will be evaluated when you trade it in to validate that it meets all requirements.
      • Your order must be picked up from a store to complete your trade-in and apply its value to your new phone purchase.

just picked up my iphone 13 pro max blue 128gb and here is the entire process:
Im upgrading / trading my iphone 11 pro max .
Pre-ordered yesterday 09/23/2021 around 10 AM.
got a text an email this morning saying its ready to pick up.( was kinda surprised about this , but ig because this best buy has less people preordered , or got more stock , im in missouri)
I backed up my old phone to my computer . and reset the phone.
Got to best buy( I was one of the first 3 people there so i got help right away) , the guy asked me for my order number and name, then told me to get with a lady.
the entire pick up was about 15 mins, she asked for my id , then my old phone, she spent most of the time input stuff into the system. I confirmed on the machine my info is correct. she handed me the new iphone new in box with a sim card on top. I asked if she need to activate the phone or anything and she said no , when i put in the phone it should activate it self. got the phone and the receipt , now im heading home.
She didnt open the new phone box at all , she didnt ask if I need to transfer my old phone data to the new phone ( might be she noticed my old phone got reset)

what's the point of choosing a carrier if you pay almost full price lol

iPhone 13/pro is the weakest upgrade.
Only do it if you have a iPhone 8 or below.
Not worth $700/800 after all the hassle that you have to go through.
Your XR should be good through iPhone 14

What issue did you have exactly? Having an ALLT issue, it shows on my apple.com account and in the Apple Service app but NOT on the device. Chat had no idea what I was talking about lol
Basically I couldn't add AC+ through my phone and had to call in. Apple said that sometimes buying from a 3rd party means they don't register a sale on their end.

So they had me email my receipt over and I was able to buy AC+.

As for T-Mobile, I just gave them my SIM card #, they were able to fix it and I went on with my ability to call and text.

Still waiting for both my orders to be ready for pick up. Both still have the "delayed" status on the BB order page.

still waiting for the pickup email from the same store.. when did u order ? i did it on sep 22...but has been struck in progress for 3 days.
I placed both orders 9/17, so that might why. When I was in the store, a guy came in asking whether he could buy a 13 pro 512gb that showed as in stock online. The rep told him they were only handling pre-orders so he should just order it online. I'd guess their stock is pretty thin right now.

Ah ok that sounds easy enough; its weird bc it shows as active everywhere else but the settings! I was nervous taking it out last night bc with my luck i'd lose it and then they would say oh wait no ACLT Smilie The peace of mind for the loss/theft is one warranty I never EVER have a problem getting.

Lots of people in the same position. What did your email say? Mine was "We've received your order but it's not quite ready". There are different emails from Best Buy. One mentions delay I think. I'm wondering if some orders will be cancelled if it goes a while.

Similar story - got the come pick up email a day late. Got in store and they couldn't activate the sim. She tried to see if she could create a new order for the same price but couldn't get anywhere near it. I was told to come back later. She felt terrible and actually gave me her number to text tomorrow to see if it's resolved before I come back.

Your email from Best Buy mentions Canceled by Oct 6? I don't mind waiting either. But if by chance any orders cancel, this deal may be over with so we could miss out. Hope not of course.

Not the smoothest release from Best Buy. Sounds like Tmobile fumbled as well.

They need to manually input the SIM card number without the letter. That how mine was fixed.

Did anyone get the promo code to use for applying for the $200 credit at promotions.t-mobile.com? I picked up my phones from Apple store yesterday and when I tried to submit the promo form it is asking for a promo code. Apple promo details suggests that apple will email promo code. I have not received any promo codes yet. Did anyone else receive one?
There is no promo code for this deal. The $200 comes from an MSRP reduced by $100 and an increase in trade-in value of $100 if you click that your trade-in iPhone is "T-Mobile" in nature.

i figured as much !!... the odd thing is it showed them in stock for pickup yesterday, so why not fulfill orders placed before..
