Trade in values are $hit IMO as far as older iPhones, didn't check androids but probably not any better.

If the unlock policy was 6-month which aligns with their free trial period, this could've been a much better deal. You can easily get $800-$1000 off on a 24-30months locking period.

Red Pocket is terrible. I switched to them and I'm having a hard time switching out with confidence that I won't lose my number in the "process'. Data speeds are horrendous. I was with Cricket (ATT) and Red Pocked (ATT as well) is data speeds are garbage using the same phone in the same areas.

They don't charge sales tax for price of the phone (at least for TX) which in itself is a significant saving if you buying pro max. This deal makes more sense if you are paying lot more for your monthly bill. The money saved over 6 months can be factored in as well .

I have a s10 plus but I think I'm going to keep it as a back up. Specs are still better than these budget phones a lower tier flagships.

Is it safe to assume that this will only lock to the first sim you put in? So you can always just put a Tmobile Sim in if you wanted to use Tmobile?

Cricket and Red Pocket use the same underlying network and technology. It is possible there are tower issues occurring now that were not occurring in your area when you were on Cricket. Also asked their CS the same question this morning. They said I can switch to other plans after the 6-month free service. I think I need to double check tomorrow.
