I am guessing you mean Dolby vision as Dolby digital is sound.

Lol. A store showroom is the worst place to judge a tv.
You can't get a better image than oled.
Oleds always win in head to head comparisons by "pros".
I have two oleds. Zero burn in. Look at Rtings burn in tests. You have to abuse these tv's to get burn in.

Thanks for pointing.
Samsung does give hdr10+.

Honestly, don't know the what hdr10+ and dolby digital provide.

I will be replacing my 55" Samsung NU6900. Both oled and neo-led will be a massive upgrade but since I will be spending 10 times nu6900, I am a little confused to pick one.
Dolby Digital and HDR+ are encoding standards that allow the TV to playback content closer to the creators vision. They allow the TV to adjust image quality frame by frame to provide maximum image quality. Keep in mind that the benefit depends on what the TV can support but these, theoretically, provide better quality than older static encoding. There are a lot more movies encoded in Dolby Digital than HDR+ which is largely a Samsung standard. Samsung would do a lot better if they supported DD but seem to obstinately holding out ๐Ÿ˜„

BTW, the Q90A will be amazing if you are not used to an OLED. Reviews say that it is among the best LED TV's currently and 85 inches is a killer ๐Ÿ‘

Maybe I'm not up to date but why is everyone calling it verde toe instead of it's proper name?

The TV's price certainly fell faster than the 77" C-series prices in previous years. I remember folks used to wait for the $3000 price point, which was rare. I think part of the contributing factor is that last year's model is still widely available, this late in the year. I don't think that's ever been the case. And there is not much of an upgrade from CX to C1.

The problem with buying now, is it's too close to Thanksgiving. Even though thanksgiving is 2 months away, thanksgiving pricing almost always starts a few weeks in advance. So practically, that's a wait of just 6 weeks or so. I think this TV will fall by another $100 or $150 at least, if not more. A post earlier in the thread said it might drop to $2500. I really doubt it'll drop by that much this Thanksgiving. Maybe during next year's clearance or prime day sales. Good sale if you really need one right away, but for most people it makes sense to wait 6 weeks.

Has anyone actually mounted this on a wall? What specific mount did you use? I'm getting this once my cc comes in the mail.
Bought the 540 model of mantel mount because I put mine above the fireplace and with mantle mount, I can lower it to more eye level.

Highly recommend if you want something that you can easily pull down.

Samsung Q8 is better. They had it side by side at Costco and oled whites look blue and screen was a bit dim compared to Q8
No burn in and better price too..

Because the mods will take your post down if you do. You're referring people away from slickdeals where they lose out on kickbacks from you not buying via their referral links.

Newer to the OLED game, but could someone quickly summarize how this model compares to other LG OLED models? I'm in the market for a ~75" OLED TV and am only aware of LG or Sony that's top of the market nowadays. TIA
