Just after we bought it 2 weeks ago, the Change Oil message started to pop up.
Just as well as we probably will have to smog check it for registration due for October and nothing like fresh oil to help pass the vehicle breathalyzer test.
Besides, it's plain stupid not to do your routine maintenance on your vehicles.

I had a 2000 Silverado. Swapped the Transmission @389,000 and finally sold it with 408,000 on it and got a 2006 Sierra.
That had 180,000 on it when I got it. Now has 300,000.
The 2002 Silverado we just got has 200,000 on it.
The only leak I've found on it is the washer fluid bottle has a small hole in it...so now to fix it or replace it.
