according to my order history, I ordered this one on July 15, 2019 for just $39.93(sold and shipped directly from Amazon... Deal of the Day"
still working great as of today. (although my previous Waterpik died after just 3 years, but it was one of those free ones that my dentist's office was giving out)

was at my car dealer yesterday to get the car serviced. chatted with the salewoman who sold me my last 3 cars. I was actually thinking about trading in my current 3-year-old car for a newer model. she said something that I would never have been possible..."sorry, I got no new cars to sell you even if you hand me a check right now..." Apparently they ran out of new cars more than 6 weeks ago and didn't expect any new inventory until mid-October. I was kind of speechless... No wonder their lot was empty when I got there. However, they do have some preowned cars available(which was why she was still working)

I guess that's good, they get paid for selling cars.
i know cars are a rare commodity to buy now. that and adopting dogs but i think some are going back now cause people are going back to work.
it's probably pandemic shortages. who knows whatever the waterpik is made out of. my work had problems with ac parts being delivered.
earlier this year, I waited 7 weeks for a replacement part on my dishwasher. don't judge me, but I ended up using only disposable paper plates, paper cups and plastic forks for 5 weeks.
Never ceases to surprise me when someone who's been on Slickdeals for years (in this case, four) posts such an ignoramus deal ... A quick check with the 3 camels shows that this is close to the every-day-all-year-long price!
WTF?

there's been quite a few stories that shelters had no animals because everyone adopted them when the pandemic hit. people stayed home and needed company. but now, some of those same people who needed company are going back to work and realize having a pet is going to take too much time. as a dog owner who had our last 3 dogs with more than 2 homes... it annoys me.
