Had the bigger version. Started getting headaches so I stopped drinking this water. Headaches gone. GF started using it again and so did I. Headaches came back.

Said screw it, now have a water dispenser. Am happier.

Google zero water headaches.

I like Project Farm but sometimes you have to use your own judgement as to his standards for testing. Stuff like putting pliers into a press and breaking them on purpose. I would never do that in the real world. I'm only using them with my hands.
And as a Slickdealer, when he's talking about value for dollars, that generally all goes out the window too because I don't pay retail.
He rated Bosch Icon blades highest but I'm not paying $40 for a set of wiper blades because they'll last a few months longer than my $8 set of Trico Neoforms.
Project farm mainly tests performance. It's up to you to decide whether or not it's worth the cost. You bet your ass people aren't putting $5 wipers on their $100k cars.

I'll stick to bottled water. No headaches here
I used to think the same way until I tested bottled water using TDS meter. Came back at 132. Yes, it could all be good minerals, but it could also be plastic leaching into the water.

If you buy plastic water bottles, you're simply part of the problem. We don't need more disposed wasted plastic. Absolutely dense of you to support plastic disposable water.

How many gallons of water does it filter before I need to be replace it? Average?
I bought mine July 3rd. Haven't replaced the filter yet. They say replace when it gets to 0.06 TDS. Mine just bit the dust and shows what tap does, so it isn't filtering anymore. Even if I have to replace the filter every 3 months it's worth it as my TDS out of tap is near 338 or so.

Has anyone put their liquor through this to make the cheap stuff taste better?

Imho this is the best tasting water compared with Brita and Pur.

Pur has the highest TDS rating and just tastes like tap water to me though they claim it filters almost everything Brita does.

Brita has a lower TDS and tastes more "fresh" or "sweet" imho but I only use the sink attachment since I switched to Zerowater.

Zerowater has the best taste like "pure" or "not alkaline or acidic" water taste. There is no Faucet attachment for a sink but I think this is due to the more complicated filtration system.

I would go bigger than a small pitcher if you're not doing a picnic. You can pick up the 20 - 30 cup dispensers that crack easily in a fridge when they get crushed but I don't regret it.

For a Faucet in your kitchen go for Brita! The filters are more available than Pur filters and I found that they work better when I'm washing dishes because it doesn't accidentally just "click" on.

I think you're referring to why people over "freeze" liquor like vodka.

I think anything but water in these filters would destroy it

No. There are several trace minerals that are beneficial for you in your water
I recommend eating solid foods to compensate for the lack of trace minerals in water.

I orders from amazon one of the large refrigerator dispensers after getting the Walmart deal on the filters the other week. The Brita one I am using is just horribly designed and the clean and unclean water mix if you dont pay attention and the filter floats up from its hole.

I wouldnt waste my money on one of these. Filters are too expensive and dont last long at all. Once the filters go bad, they make the water taste absolutely disgusting instead of just filtering less. Its much cheaper to just buy spring water
Amazon and Walmart just had filters for ~$7 each when bought in a multipack.

My parents used these for years. I got hooked. Got one. My daughter is now hooked. This makes a big difference in how our water tastes (in a good way). She won't even drink water from our refrigerator's built-in water filter anymore.

They are usually $7.36 at Walmart. Not always but they are that price often.

I see some comments saying the filters arent reliable and ph level sometimes goes way low. Any ideas?
