RAM is NOT upgradable. There's no slot for the sodimm. There is another m.2 for additional m.2 sata. The main m.2 slot filled with the sata accepts nvme. Just received and opened it up to test.

Screen is typical ips. Much better than TN but not as good as samsung qled or lenovo thinkpad level of screen. Not bad even in angles, but if you are used to higher end laptop screens, this is not in a same level field.

I'm returning as they sent me a wrong color. I noticed green and purple colors are switched when selected. Although checkout page will show correct color, they will ship you a wrong color with packing slip showing wrong color being ordered.

still nothing beat the motile M141 at $200 for a budget laptop, which is fully upgradable! and also have 2 core 4 threads

Agree. I bought the m142 for $260 back then. I thought that was decent all around except for the silver keyboard.

Yep, people caught on real quick that black is the best for white backlit. Walmart constantly ran out of black models.

While the Ryzen 5 5500u laptop is more than $400 and is a older gen, to me it's still a worthy purchase from its value alone.
It depends whether you ever have a need for the extra cores. If not, you will be living on the single core performance for everyday use.

No ram upgrade. I bought it and opened it but no slot for upgrading the ram. The older generation i3 toth gen had the expanded ram slot, not sure why they removed with the 12th gen.

Same thing happened to me, wonder if colors switched in Mandarin 😂
