Good budget monitor if you're not very picky. I bought it last year for WFH without discount.

The screen has significant bleeding and the VESA mount location are my biggest complains.

Yep, I use it with a monitor arm, and it takes a lot of the maneuverability away because the mount is so high up of the monitor.

Was having VESA mount near the top of the monitor a problem? Arm can't raise the monitor high enough?

It looks like a really odd placement. Looks like you could damage it if you tried to tilt it against some resistance.

Given the placement of the VESA mount in the back, does anyone have any recommendation on mounting systems for this particular set?

Below is what I am using. I have not noticed any bleeding around the VESA mount area. I suppose you could cause some bleeding if your mount bolts are too long and it applies a little force on the LCD panel. Good luck.

Biggest complaint about this monitor is brightness, pretty dark if you use it in a super bright room. But only if you have some $300+ monitors to compare it to

vga cable...? why would they include that, it's legitimately e-waste. VGA standard can only carry something like 480 lines of resolution so like 1/9th the pixel count of wqhd...?

I have two of these. About to have three. Can vouch, this is an excellent monitor for the money.

I do have to crank brightness to max, but at max, it's absolutely bright enough.

I've had this for years. I recently picked up a 4k version to run dual 32" monitors. Excellent for the money.

PLEASE NOTE: the VESA mounts on the back are not centered so it's difficult to find a mount to have it vertical.

While the original VGA (VGA standard) had a maximum resolution of 640×480, nowadays the VGA cable is capable of 1080P and higher resolutions. The limiting factor would be the hardware outputting VGA signals, the VGA cable doesn't really have a maximum resolution.

Most people can't tell the difference between 1080P connected via HDMI or VGA, however, at higher resolutions, VGA starts to fall behind. While VGA can support 1080P, I don't recommended it for higher resolution monitors.
