Following up on my earlier post.
Just received my iPhone 13 Pro Max. The case fits perfectly buttons align, camera fits. I'm guessing it's either mislabled or they didn't want it to leak prior to the phones release. Either way all good!
The screen protectors for it that I ordered from the previous deal posted here also work perfectly, the cutout is the exact size for the new model.

Thanks for the update! I came to this thread because I saw mine was mislabeled too.

Ordered on Monday arrived this afternoon. I ordered a Clear Otter+Pop Symmetry Series for iPhone 13 Pro Max but what came says:

iPhone 2021 X-Large
iPhone 12 Pro Max

SKU 77-64568

So I guess its likely the 13PM case.

Not quite, because of the camera. You can likely find discounted prices on the 12 elsewhere. I'd look at eBay…have had good luck in the past.

I ordered iPhone 13 pro and the case works perfectly. The case says "iPhone large 2021" for otter box commuter case.

That's what I was going to point out. The cases for the standard 12 and 13 are dimensionally close enough but the buttons (volume up, volume down and silence) are moved on the 13. I had to go to the ATT store to physically try each case. Even some that said 2021 iPhone 6.1 weren't a perfect fit. The otterbox symmetry plus for the "2021 6.1" is a very good fit.
