It's a ymmv deal, so the price the OP sees in their area may not be the same price you see in your store. You can use the brickseek link in the wiki to see if your store may have it for that price. Or you can try the Walmart app and check the various stores in your area on it to see their prices. Walmart prices can vary from store to store and city to city etc.

It has an incredible amount of 1 star reviews. Apparently it's a flawed design. The wheel height is the same height as the spreader which causes seed to slam into the left wheel and that causes an uneven distribution of seeds on your lawn. That's what I'm reading in the reviews.

yeah, I like drop spreaders better. This one sprays all over the place, even with edge guard on.
Plastic wheels too.. so depending on your terrain, this can be less effective.

I've had one the past 10 years and maybe the wheels play a part in the uneven distribution, but it's much more flawed than that. The way the distributor on the bottom is designed it just wants to throw mostly to one side. I used some thin plastic and packing tape to modify it a bit for more even distribution and it's been OK, but I definitely would buy a different brand if I needed a new one.

Found one in St. Charles, IL. There were a few other Walmarts within 10-15mi that also had some in stock. They were all stacked on the top shelf in a small outdoor section, probably 5-6 more of them. The price was 16.24+tax.
