Walmart has 6 for 1$ in the clearance isle at a couple stores around here. SKU 370712433 if looking on brickseek. They are "re-stick" i don't know if they work the same gonna try (on my printer).
60 for $15 comes to .25¢ a stick. 12 for $3.45 comes to .29¢ a stick.
I also use these for 3D printing, trust me you can go thru 12 pretty fast if you print a lot. It's a good deal if you only need 12.
You'd have to print a hell of a lot to go through 12 sticks. I print pretty regular and have used the same purple glue stick for over two years. If you're printing on glass, you can use the same glue application several times before cleaning it off and starting over.
Maybe people have more trouble with bed adhesion than I do, but I usually just zig-zag one quick pass with the glue stick across the glass print bed and any parts that hit the glue get stuck.
I found Aquanet to be even better than the glue stick in almost all applications. Just spray a bit on a paper towel, run it across the bed and it holds just enough. The glue stick is better for small parts that you want to be 100% sure stick down, but for almost everything else the Aquanet seems better. I've also used the same Aquanet can for over two years and have a lot left.

Actually these days I have my 3D printer dialed in so well that I print directly on glass without any glue or hair spray. Sometimes long ABS prints need a little glue to survive warping

I thought that too until one time I was 8 hours deep into a print and wa-la. The bond broke. Now I always use a fresh thin coat of purple gluestick!

I'm building a Voron 2.4 right now and it took nearly a week of around the clock printing to make all the parts. Now I'm fortunate to have a small 3D printer from 2013 ,190 x 190 x 135, that is capable of printing at 300 mm/s but since precision is needed for this build I kept it at 150 - 200 mm/s. Still it's a bummer after 4 hours to see the print warp and have to start over. I may have used 4 sticks of glue but at .25¢ a stick who cares? I have also found that better quality filament sticks better then the cheaper stuff.
12 small sticks x 0.21oz each = 2.52 oz total
$3.45 / 2.52 oz = $1.37 / 1oz
For 3D printing, get the jumbo for $8 for 9 Jumbo Sticks
3 Packs of 3 Sticks, 9 sticks total (1.4 Oz each) = 12.6 Oz total
$8 / 12.6oz = $0.635 /1 oz https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...merReviews

I honestly don't even know wtf I need/would even use glue sticks for (no kids, thankfully), but I'm still quite tempted to grab one of these deals!😹
