The only real difference between 1st and 2nd Gen is the hugely upgraded camera 1MP to 13MP with auto-framing. The bump in processor is negligible. Also they got rid of the 3.5mm Jack for analog connections. If video conferencing is not that important, than the 1st Gen is still great value for the price.
Probably $70 again or less for the bundle around Black Friday again, but I guess it depends on how long gen 1 supplies last. I kid, we'll probably be seeing them on Woot three years from now...
Wondering how this compares to the OG Echo Show. Most seem to say it's uniformly better, though some quibble about the sound and it's odd that they seemed to have dropped the camera resolution...
