I've got a 12 foot hammock stand I got on a deal at Walmart for $39 a couple years ago. The extra length makes it more flexible for use with a wide variety of hammocks. It still breaks down to less than 5'. We bought a bag from Amazon to take it camping with us for when there aren't suitable trees.

Something to consider.

Looks exactly like the ones from Amazon. I have 3 sets of these from Amazon - from 3 different sellers - and they are identical in every way. I can almost guarantee this will be the same.

And word of advice...

get rid of those long obnoxious hooks that come with these. They are an accident waiting to happen. They stick too far out and you can actually hit your head on them in certain circumstances.

I went with some s-hooks and mounted them on the outside of the posts. They are lower profile, easier to adjust to a better position, and they hold up perfect

Just FYI this hammock is the same physical size as the one that got posted last week at Walmart.

If you missed it for $50 this is a great price still.

just wondering if anyone used the kammok's stand? that one is much more pricey but half the weight of this.
