I really wish they'd just make more original star wars movies like Rogue One and abandoned whatever the hell they were trying to do with the new sequels.

Blu-ray != 4K UHD. That digital code will only get you HDX/1080P at your preferred digital market.

Absolutely, 100% agree. Getting in now before they release whatever crap Indiana Jones 5 becomes. I wonder why Spielberg/Lucas/Ford didn't make more Indiana Jones movies in the 90s when they should have. Instead, Lucas made 3 mediocre Star Wars prequels. Title quotes ("4") added in solidarity. 4K codes will redeem 4K on VUDU.
Regular Blu-ray codes HD only on VUDU.

4K codes AND regular Blu-ray codes both will redeem in 4K on iTunes.

Paramount is not MA so they will not port from whichever service you redeem.

The only marketplace which upgrades to 4K for free on previously purchases titles is Apple iTunes. But you must have purchased the movie in iTunes. I don't believe you get the free upgrade if you transfer in a purchase via Movies Anywhere. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

Good question but I am not sure. I have never personally run into that scenario.
The safest bet would be to simply not redeem at VUDU unless they actually currently had 4K.

I know if you have 4K rights via MA from another provider redeem you will get upgraded to 4K on that title if VUDU doesn't have it in 4K at the time but later does.

No. Only iTunes does that. They will make you pay to upgrade.
