The price went up 10% this year. It was $630 early last year, $600 in July 2020, then $650 around last Thanksgiving. The list price went up from $780 to $900 also.

From the reviews I read, the electricity generated isn't as clean as an inverter generator from Yamaha or Honda. So may not be ideal for sensitive electronics .

This is an inverter generator and should be good for sensitive electronics like other inverter generators. Make sure you are reading the reviews from this specific model as some review sites have all generators from the same brand merged together.

I think they made a change, past versions stated up to 25% THD which seemed ridiculously high, this one states up to 3% as any good inverter should be.

Anyone have real world experience with this and how it compares to the Wen DF400i which is about $100 more? https://wenproducts.com/collectio...-generator I see a lot of chatter about the Wen's and haven't really heard about this Firman brand. I suppose since Costco sells it, that it would be good.

Reviews are mixed. I'm really waiting for that AiPower with the Yamaha engine to go on sale---if it ever does. I thought the regular price was $499, but looking today, it's $549?

Been eyeing for a dual fuel inverter generator for a while since Ida hit us.

This one in warehouse may likely be $599 when promotion goes online.

However, I've heard bad customer service from Firman, and this one is almost 100 lb. I guess Costco customer service will offset the negates.

The other comparable ones I am targeting right now are this Champion 200962(previous sale at <$500). It is only 39 lb, but about 500W less output.

I am wondering if anyone has any suggestion which one best fit my need (one fridge + floor fan) just for power backup purpose.

Been trying to compare this with the Harbor Freight Predator 3500 (hoping goes on sale for $679).

Wanting for home for storms etc, but also for running travel trailer AC is important.

Not sure the dual fuel is really that important.

This chart is a good start for estimating the wattage you'll need:

If you look on the label of your floor fan, it should say how many watts it consumes. If you look at the label inside the door of your fridge it should say how many watts it consumes too.

we have a gas line that was for the gas dryer in the past. so could we connect it to this generator and use it that way when power is out?

No. That would typically be called tri-fuel. As in gas, propane, and natural gas.

No this is propane not natural gas. They don't make a tri fuel yet so u would have to get a kit to convert it. Would also make it weaker.

You're better off getting a gasoline generator and a tri-fuel kit.
