"Gen 3" so almost certainly NOT PS5 compatible. Worth putting up fast since somebody will ask. PS5 requires Gen 4. People have been trying Gen 3 to see if Sony was exaggerating and so far Gen 3s really do not work.

You're not wrong for the most part, but I would highly implore that you watch this Digital Foundry YT video to get the gist of the NVMe minimum specs requirement for the PS5: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zWQs4UpiKlg

That video is about two Gen 4 drives. My post does not contradict it in the slightest. Your reply makes no sense. As I said the only hard line requirement that people have found for a PS5 add-on internal drive is that it has to be Gen 4.

If that's the impression you got from the video then I can tell you didn't watch it in its entirety...

1. I watched it a week ago. They test two gen 4 hard drives and zero gen 3 hard drives. It has nothing to do with Gen 3 ssds.
2. Posting a video on a forum and expecting people to watch it for 15 minutes is idiotic. If you have a point to make just type the point you want to make. That's what people do on a forum. Don't expect people to go and watch a 15-minute video and hunt within that 15-minute video for whatever mysterious point you're trying to make that doesn't even exist or that likely you don't even understand yourself.
