They look kind of cool, but it kind of anuses me that they're "USA themed", when the flag of the country of origin, the Czech Republic, is also red, white and blue. But the OCD offender for me is the white star on the top (which is I suppose what differentiates the theme as maybe USA specific) in place of the tip size and type label.

If it were me, i'd grab the yellow impact rated model as the second set. You do lose out on the lasertip but you get the metal buttcap, stronger tips, and spanner torque grip. This green one really looks identical to the red.

I believe both sets have the laser tipping too; that's kind of what's tripping me up.

If I'm getting a Wera set like this it's going to be the red white and blue USA limited edition with the bottle opener for $42 at KCtool

Does anyone know why these are historically more expensive than their red insulated (Kraftform Plus 160i/6) drivers? The size/selection seem nearly identical.

Just a heavy DIYer here. I have the insulated set and love them. I should still get this set, right? Never enough screwdrivers?! Smilie

Q: Is there a reason so many flatheads in this set? Are there just so many more sizes for flatheads? Is this geared towards a particular trade/use, like electrical work, that sees more flathead use (I'm just using electrical as an example...not sure if they see more flatheads)?

The insulated ones seem to go on sale more than these. If you use your insulated screwdrivers as everyday screwdrivers, you may lose some of the protection from the insulation.

I can only guess that laser tipping is more expensive than insulating.

I have this same set, just insulated. They're fine. I am not a HUGE fan of the Wera grips, but others are. I have larger hands than most though so maybe that's why? Nothing is ever super comfortable for me, whether it be sitting furniture, ergonomics of tools, and even computer mice. So maybe this is unique to those of us with larger than average hands?

Otherwise, they perform nicely, I really like how the insulated ones (maybe these regulars too, not sure) have tips that have little grooves to help hold the screw.
