JFC you made me realize I bought one of these already.... May 2019. And i STILL haven't taken it out of the box. That tells you everything you need to know about me and deals 😩🤦
I can't tell if that was a fat joke…
Really?

I almost pulled the trigger on this yesterday, but there were multiple reviews which stated that this doesn't dry out quickly after getting wet. Like a few sunny days after a rain, some of the padding is still not fully dry. For me, that's not going to work. Also consistent complaints about build quality. For the price it's probably not that big of a deal, but if it's going to be in a location that is somewhat exposed to the elements, might be worth reading the reviews yourself.

valid point. I bought this pretty expensive hanging chaise lounge for the wife. but if it gets rained on, its soaking wet literally for weeks. it sits on our deck and it just drips water for days and days. It makes it basically unusable
How comfortable for sleeping? Compared to a hammock?
In my opinion, this type of stretched out hammock that do not sway would be less comfortable than a conventional hammock. I like being able to sit sideways in my hammock for a more couch-like feel at times. I ordered the Vivere Freestanding Hammock via Walmart online and have no regrets. Some colors are on clearance now for $55.99 and the carrying case is of good quality - super comfy and good reviews!

I tilt mine on its side and water drains right out. It's how I keep it when not in use

Actually...a hammock is defined as a swinging couch or bed usually made of netting or canvas and slung by cords from supports at each end.
this one doesn't swing! it has 4 straps, it's might wigle a little bit, but no swing at all.
In for one.
