If you are new to the Shin Megami Tensei series and want to buy Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne, I recommend getting the "digital deluxe" edition which includes a very easy mode called "merciful difficulty". Shin Megami Tensei games are a little unforgiving and can discourage newbies. Merciful setting is so everyone can have fun with no worry.
Additionally, the digital deluxe edition has the Maniax pack which includes Dante from Capcom's Devil May Cry series as a boss fight and recruitable party member. Dante replaces the Raidou character in a standard play of the game. Dante is an additional DLC purchase with the non-digital deluxe version because Atlus needed to reacquire the license to have permission to use Capcom's character. In the original playstation 2 western localization of Shin Megami Tensei III, all US players got Dante while Japanese players got Raidou (and Dante in a separate edition of the game). Now everyone can have both just need to pay a little extra.

Correct me if I am wrong, I am new to SMT so I do wonder if those two things really worth that extra $10.
