As always, I recommend the Shin Megami Tensei games for people who enjoy philosophical plots and post-apocalyptic environments. Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne is a famous JRPG game highly regarded by some as the best in the entire Megami Tensei franchise. In Megami Tensei games, you employ the use of demons, gods, and angels to combat enemies. Some dialogue and gameplay choices will determine which ending you can get. Unlike most Shin Megami Tensei games, Nocturne does not follow the typical alignment system with Law, Neutral, and Chaos. Definitely worth a look.

If you are new to the Shin Megami Tensei series and want to buy Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne, I recommend getting the "digital deluxe" edition which includes a very easy mode called "merciful difficulty". Shin Megami Tensei games are a little unforgiving and can discourage newbies. Merciful setting is so everyone can have fun with no worry.

Additionally, the digital deluxe edition has the Maniax pack which includes Dante from Capcom's Devil May Cry series as a boss fight and recruitable party member. Dante replaces the Raidou character in a standard play of the game. Dante is an additional DLC purchase with the non-digital deluxe version because Atlus needed to reacquire the license to have permission to use Capcom's character. In the original playstation 2 western localization of Shin Megami Tensei III, all US players got Dante while Japanese players got Raidou (and Dante in a separate edition of the game). Now everyone can have both just need to pay a little extra.

Valkyria Chronicles and Yakuza 0 are no-brainers at those prices if you're remotely interested in trying either series

Bayonetta is quite good for what it's going for. If you're interested, you'll probably be happy with it.

The Merciless DLC is apparently free, so as the Chronicle DLC. Apparently what you really get from the Deluxe Edition is the Dante skin and some maps for grinding at the end.

Correct me if I am wrong, I am new to SMT so I do wonder if those two things really worth that extra $10.

I like the SMT series(played on SNES) but SMT V release date is so close that I don't really want to start SMT 3 at this time.... besides I still have a little backlog...

Yakuza 0 is definitely no-brainer. Best story telling among all the games I have ever played. Arguably the best in the famous Yakuza series. And this great gem for only 3.99??
